Default Rays GONE - Found my Z on cider blocks.

My sport rays gone. Happened a couple of days ago right in front of my house; still can't relate how upsetting this is considering I live in one of the quieter Chicago neighborhoods on a block where SIX CPD police officers reside!!

Evidence techs got some good prints off the car so I'm hopeful these pricks will be caught some day. Makes me feel a little better even though I know I'll never see my wheels again.

Looking for advice from anyone who has dealt with this. I now have an opportunity to go aftermarket, and am seriously considering that option.

My insurance people are supposed to come out today - any advice on that topic is also welcome.

I will update with pics tonight when I get home, even though it hurts to see..

Thanks, all!

Sorry to hear this but it sounds like your on the right path with ins and all

I'd only suggest that if you go aftermarket? That you insure the wheels so you're not screwed if it happens again.

I know its been a while since I've heard of this happen but its nothing new unfortunately.

I know how you feel man, but trust me things are about to get a little better. First, you gotta take care of all the logistics with your insurance. This happened in my old 350Z, and my insurance cut me a check for almost 4K, which was the price I was quoted from a local Nissan dealer. But I'm pretty sure these Rays are going to fetch a bit more. Once you get that check, you can buy a nice set of wheels and tires

Make sure your insurance adjuster inspects the bottom of your car for damage. There may be more to this than just the wheels. Good luck!

That alarm sounds like a great idea! And this happened in the Norwood Park neighborhood.

Which part of chicago are you from? Should keep an eye on craigslist to see if they would sell it there.

Could those be yours? Those have Brigestone Potenza RE50A on it. It was also posted on the 9th.

Noorwood park. I have been checking Craigslist daily; above-linked were posted for sale a day before mine were stolen.
