More than likely, you'll find a buyer who was looking for persimmon anyway...
All that said, I'd have to add one concern: I doubt the persimmon will age as well. I'm not sure if that's been the case in the past, it's just my total uneducated guess. It looked like the persimmon would look dirty easily.
So I'm sure I haven't helped.

if he's going to flip the car in a matter of months, or even a year or two, i'm not sure aging is a concern
