I love the way they crash. Most of the high power SUV's I see seem to be upsidedown on the side of the highway.

The 370Z and the Jeep SRT8 are worlds apart, you're just going to have to test drive a 370Z, an Infiniti G37 and a Jeep to see what you really want.

Oh God! My brother has a Grand SRT-8. Holy cow. That thing is an absolute monster. It's actually built really well, and he has not had any problems with his. Oh, I guess his Brembo brakes make some noise, but I think he solved that with new, cheaper pads. It's also not good on gas, but it's really comfy, roomy, built well, and has a great stereo.

He laughs at me in my Z as he goes FLYING past me. I can't believe that truck, if that's what you want to call it. He is considering the new one, if it ever comes out. Remember that Max. There's a new Grand Cherokee coming out on the Mercedes M chassis... but more goodies. Jeep is the only good thing going for Chrysler. (He also just bought a '09 Wrangler, and I have to say, I really like that thing too! With it's soft top, it's actually way quiter than our Z's!) Just my opinion. Check out the SRT too. I really like that truck.
The Infiniti FX50, is not quite as fast, but it's way more expensive. I have an '09 FX35, and love it, but it's not a beast like that SRT. Way more luxurious and better on gas. By the way, I really don't think the ol' SRT-8 is much of a rollover car. It's pretty squatty.

yeah the SRT8 is great...but the problem is nissan is a way more stable company to buy from right now.

What is the Z like in the snow?

On the stock tires, horrible. With snow tires, manageable.

I'd give up the back seats as long as the rest of the car (I'd be buying the Touring version with Sport/Nav) is on par with Maxima.
Mate, come on really.!!

What I am starting to wonder is what made you go for the Max. Everything you are considering now is a world of difference from a Maxima.

Sounds like you need to wait on buying a new vehicle until you decide what you're looking for...

When you mention: Hyundai, Corvette, M3, SRT8 and so on, you're not serious. These cars are all so different from each other.

When I worked at Chevrolet (I used to be a car salesman years back), we were in an automall that had every other dealership next to us, across the street etc. I used tell customers like you, who liked kicking tires, "check out all those cars you mentioned, and come to us last, I guarantee you'll drive away in this one." Of course I didn't wear my frustration and sarcasm on my sleeve, but most tire-kickers got the impression.

It's all academic gumflapping since the dealer is going to offer him $25K or less on his Maxima...

I pondered an SRT-8, but already had the Infiniti FX. I can't wait to see what happens this weekend in Wisconsin at a drag racing event that I'm going to with my brother with his SRT. My Z... in his rearview mirror. He will come close to being the fastest out there. I understand this. It's a beast.

That was really good english by me above.

Your "english" needs to be capitalized with an upper case "e"-->, you try too hard.
