2012 model?
does anyone know there is a new model coming soon or not really? MY12?
|
You mean the 2012 Nissan 370z, if so then yes, it is already out.
|
any changes on appearance?
|
nope
|
Some of them are out, but apparently just the base ones, or the sport/touring, but hell if Nissan will actually make a 370Z with Sport/Touring AND! NAV.
*rant off* |

is it worth waiting to see what the 2013 has to offer?

i was at the dealership yesterday and they had 2 soft tops 2012
except for the tops there is no difference between the 09 and the 2012 as far as i could tell.... nissan is milking this model for all it can. no improvements at all. they could at least bump the hp a little each year. it wouldn't be that hard |

I stand corrected. But upgrading the Nav
and adding a camera sounds like something you add to a mini van. Not a 40,000 sports car. Not if you won't to keep up with the comp |
so would it be better to wait till 2013 and see what comes out or should i just look for a current model z

I do know that they added the oil cooler back to the 2012 Z. Mine has one and it and is a base 6m. Thats about the only different from 2011:eekdance:. I would wait for the 2014 model....think everone will like that....just saying

it pretty clear imho that nissan has something planned for the Z.
and i've got a bad feeling about it. I'm not saying every year redo the car and start over. but its been 09,10,11,12. And all the Z has to show for it is a upgraded nav system wow! and a backup camera! Hell my wife's 2010 enter level rouge has a backup camera on it....... worse case is they are sucking the car dry and then see you.. sales are dropping each year. which is sad because the Z for the money is a dam good car. jmo sorry left out the oil cooler upgrade which should have been on the car from day one so i don't count it. |
The 350Z was the same for 2003,2004,2005,2006. It changed engines, wheels, and a lump in the hood for 2007,2008 models. Don't get your panties in a bunch.
Heck, look at the Titan. 2004-2006 unchanged, 2007 they switched midpipes for an extra 10 hp, then 2008-2012 they changed headlights to have an orange color and minor dash upgrade and 20" wheels available, but it has not seen any significant redesigns since it was released in 2004. The Pathfinder was also in the same boat. What was it? 1997-2004 it remained unchanged. 2005 is when they redesigned it. You guys need to quit being so paranoid. |

were not paranoid at least i'm not. most of us are just passionate about the 370 and what the future holds for the model. but i must disagree 4 years old
and a nav upgrade which is really just a software download and a camera which is standard on a versa and the oil cooler which was 4 years late. like i said imo nissan is milking the car for all it can... maybe nissan is holding all its cards for a big change coming in a couple of years. i hope so because a lot of z guys will be disappointed. |

There will be a new Altima in 2013 for sure and for some reason, I vaguely remember an employee at a Nissna dealership mentioning something about there being a new G in a few years '13 or '14. If a new G does come out, a new Z shouldn't be too far behind. I don't know how much truth there is to the new G part. All I know is that there are new Altima and Sentras coming.

I was just saying if they are making some new Altimas and Sentras, maybe they'll also have some other new Nissans in the pipeline soon like the Z.
|
I got you on that, I was just more interested in the G, lol, I wonder if anyone has heard any changes for the 13 or 14.
|
I actually do care a little about the Altima, my last car was the v6 07 Altima. Good car, if the new Altima is nic,e maybe it can be my future 'practical' car while the Z can be my fun car and be saved from some DD mileage. The Sentra I care zero about though.
|
I have an altima too, an 09, Im just trying to find out if there is any truth behind what you said you overheard about the new G.
|
I just recall a dealership guy saying that to me. I don't know how much truth was there, but I can't imagine there not being a new G/Z by 2014 or 15. That'll be 5 or 6 years and models rarely live longer than that. I wouldn't mind having the latest body style Z for a few more years.
|
I see, I personally like the Z body styling as well, the new 37, not as much, however, the 37 was one of the cars I was looking at before purchasing the Z, so it pricked my curiosity when I heard you say you heard something about their being a new G, if that is the case, I defientley would be interested in seeing what they would come out with for the new G.
