i was at the dealership yesterday and they had 2 soft tops 2012
except for the tops there is no difference between the 09 and the 2012
as far as i could tell.... nissan is milking this model for all it can. no improvements at all. they could at least bump the hp a little each year.
it wouldn't be that hard

Wrong. Nav unit got upgraded from in MY10. MY11 got backup camera with NAV. MY12 got OEM oil cooler.

I stand corrected. But upgrading the Nav
and adding a camera sounds like something
you add to a mini van. Not a 40,000
sports car. Not if you won't to keep up
with the comp

What exactly are your goals? Based on the runtime of the 350, it seems unlikely that there will be a new Z next year. Plus, if it were all new, you wouldn't have any idea what you are waiting for i.e. whether it's a car you want.

Touring/Sport/NAV, no desire for base. Also, no, I cannot order. I went all the way to Nissan Corporate and they confirmed that the dealerships in my area have no allotments as far as they can tell. Nissan is a bitch to deal with. GM and Ford at least you can buy the car. Meh. Might end up with a 5.0 if my deal with Lou doesn't work out.

I do know that they added the oil cooler back to the 2012 Z. Mine has one and it and is a base 6m. Thats about the only different from 2011. I would wait for the 2014 model....think everone will like that....just saying

I already told you that Fontana Nissan has two of the type you are looking for. They were all ordered for me

it pretty clear imho that nissan has something planned for the Z.
and i've got a bad feeling about it. I'm not saying every year redo the car
and start over. but its been 09,10,11,12. And all the Z has to show for it
is a upgraded nav system wow! and a backup camera! Hell my wife's
2010 enter level rouge has a backup camera on it.......

worse case is they are sucking the car dry and then see you..
sales are dropping each year. which is sad because the Z for the money
is a dam good car. jmo

sorry left out the oil cooler upgrade which should have been on the car from day one so i don't count it.

The 350Z was the same for 2003,2004,2005,2006. It changed engines, wheels, and a lump in the hood for 2007,2008 models. Don't get your panties in a bunch.

Heck, look at the Titan. 2004-2006 unchanged, 2007 they switched midpipes for an extra 10 hp, then 2008-2012 they changed headlights to have an orange color and minor dash upgrade and 20" wheels available, but it has not seen any significant redesigns since it was released in 2004.

The Pathfinder was also in the same boat. What was it? 1997-2004 it remained unchanged. 2005 is when they redesigned it.

You guys need to quit being so paranoid.

were not paranoid at least i'm not. most of us are just passionate about the 370 and what the future holds for the model. but i must disagree 4 years old
and a nav upgrade which is really just a software download and a camera
which is standard on a versa and the oil cooler which was 4 years late.

like i said imo nissan is milking the car for all it can...

maybe nissan is holding all its cards for a big change coming in a couple of years. i hope so because a lot of z guys will be disappointed.
