Pulley
So I was talking to a friend of mine today who owns a 300ZX, this guy has been a mechanic since he can remember. Well I was talking to him about purchasing a light weight pulley. He told me unless I plan on re-balancing the crank pulley its not a good idea because it will eventually cause damage to the engine. Does anyone know this to be true or is he off??
Thanks in advance..

This has always been a hot topic with the pulley thing. But really take a look at the pulley on the car right now. To say the least it is obviously not the most precision piece.

This issue has already been discussed extensively. Please review this thread: STILLEN lightweight crank pulley The discussion on harmonics begins on page 3, I believe.
