Drove to work and back. I always make sure to open it up a couple times each way.

Since I was off today. I did my base line dyno run. The Nismo got 282HP and 230 ftlbs corrected on a Mustang dyno. After that. I took a ride to Ohio Pyle State Park in SW Pa.

Audio install
So I just finished off a weekend of audio installs and all done Thanks for all the great info on this site, i couldnt have done it without you all! (along with the websearch on "how to solder wires together...lol) I put in a kenwood DNX6160, Polk MM6501 speakers, Polk PA330 amp, new speaker wires, Axxess ASWC steering interface, CMOS-200 rearview camera, dynamat xtreme the trunk area (doors to be done later) and brought ipod connection into the center console. Took a lot longer than planned but thats because i made the mistake of not cleaning up as i went and I spent more time walking around looking for tools and parts than actually doing work, lol. But i am thrilled with how it turned out. The speakers sound great, I love that you can modify the headunit color theme, i was suprised at how well the cam worked at night and for those wondering, the dynamat xtreme really does make a difference. I was able to reach in and slide a good sized piece over the left wheel well (cant on the right due to the some wiring to the gas tank) and i think that helped a lot. A little homework and forethought paid off....all for a little under $1000. glad i saved on the install fee.... time to enjoy

Today I had to jump on it with the wife in the car. Some guy in Caddy SUV was pushing and not going to let the small car merge. So, 25-75 in about 4 secs. Left him in the dust as they say. The wife started laughing and she doesn't like fast most of the time. I think that is because in the other cars we own it requires banging of gears (those are manual cars) and there is a lot of head bobbing. In the Z is just goooooo. Then her comment was: "Yeah commute car, right. I knew this was going to faster than your old 350Z but, never thought a automatic would take off like that." I remindered her that the '67 Camaro with 650HP we own has a two speed automatic. Her response was, "That's not a six cylinder (economy) import car; this one has half the HP." She got me there plus, she has never been in the passenger seat of the Camaro so she has no reference. What other six cylinder car gets 27-28mpg and hits a sub 13 second quarter mile?
I Love my Z for what it is .... Life is short live it !!! Last edited by Mecinoid; 01-10-2012 at 02:55 AM. |

Bone stock, no mods. Everything is bought, and paid for. Just hasn't shown up at the house yet. Uncorreted, it was 293hp and 237 ftlbs.

Now it's time to replace that stock knob and take those Blockbuster movies back before you get hit with a late charge!
