Backed out and pulled into my driveway today with no scraping. Usually those factory deflectors infront of the front wheels scrape.

Yu a$$ Kenman. Ya hurt my feelings. I think you need to send me a charboilcheeseburger with cheesy fries as an apology. Make it supersize.

The drive home proved successful for the thermo to come up to the proper temp!

No, but I almost did when I looked back as I drove away! I really liked the stance of the car. Quote:
The sun is shining for the first time in a while here and I got a good look at the full extent of the damage to the nose - the paint is full of spider web cracks in four places. I've got a meeting set-up with State Farm early next week. For what it is going to cost to remove the clear bra, sand down and fix the bumper, I wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to just start over with a new one. They only cost $550 new. That's for the insurance company to decide. While I was waiting for my ride to pick me up, I looked at a new Nismo on the showroom floor. The bottom edge of the front spoiler has to be a good two inches higher than mine. The drop turned out to be a lot more than expected. Look for a new avatar soon.

You know, I've grown pretty fond of mine as well and have decided to keep it around for a while too! :?

Mine read 61 degrees. Didn't see the temp anywhere that I passed to see how accurate it was.

as for the spacers and offset, your car will look lifted with those spacers on. i think your front nismo wheels are ET42 so i would recommend a 10mm spacer up front and rear. the rear might be okay with 5mm spacer. yep. the gates felt good, nearly perfect. |

[QUOTE=kenchan;1597227]......yah, the nismo has taller front springs/stock combo vs base. tj confirmed this when he did the swap.

I was thinking about changing spacers anyway. Once I get the car back, I'll be able to tell what I need. I was thinking about 10mm all around. I guess that will involve changing the studs again since I got H&R DSR spacers. Can you change 5mm and still use the same studs?

hi gurney- unfortunately probably no because the stock lugs are not deep enough. you'd need to run open lugs and i dont think there are any available for lugs with washers (for hubcentric design wheels).
best bet is to get the 10mm stud replacement spacers and run correct stud lenghts. |
