So here is the latest on the ZL1 front. I texted with a guy that has cancelled a ZL1 order to try and get a different color that might be avail on the 2013's. His car has been built and is awaiting shipment. I've left a phone message and a text message with his dealership to see if they would be willing to have his car delivered to my dealship to fill my order.

I am going nuts here. They have a scheduled shutdown at the factory and have a QC hold on the cars to be shipped. I've heard they plan to start shipping the 23rd. but who knows. I'd feeel much better knowing my car is about to be shipped.

Thanks waaaasabi I'd say that the dealer would rather not take shipment on a car that isn't sold and the dealers only have a limited number that they get this year. This way they should get an order avail to use and the customer can order the car they want. I haven't gotten this far on just my good looks.

Good morning guys! I'm actually off today. Going to have a car day. First thing is checking out some new rides for the wife - CR-V, Fit, CX 5, and Juke. Looks like it will be a CR-V. It's what she really wants, and probably makes the most sense for her, especially since she's driving an MDX right now. I'll use the MDX for my daily driver for a few years, and then will probably trade it in on a Fit, CR-Z, Fiesta, or whatever the newest thing out is at the time. The MDX only has 70k miles on it and has enough parking dings that I can comfortably park it in lots without going crazy. If I put 8k miles a year on it, I'll be surprised. My weekly commute is a total of 75 miles. After the test drives, I'm heading out in the Z to get my TMPS swapped and the front end alignment checked. I've also got to get the body shop to take a look at the front bumper clip damage. I've already gotten a lot of flak about turning the Z into a "garage queen", but it will be the last sports car I ever buy. I want to be one of the old guys with a cool old car one day. Have a great weekend guys.

Have you checked out an RDX at all? I test drove one once and I was pleasantly surprised by it. really sporty drive but will give you some nice room if you're cross shopping it against a Fit, Juke and CR-V.

Hey Gurney have fun shopping today and good luck getting your repairs. There are allot of resto mods out there. Old body styles with modern running gear. Best of both worlds. Reliable and classy.

No luck on the ZL1 front. They would loose the allocation if my order was filled with thier order. Still waiting LOL.

I thought about an RDX Nick, but they are way above my $30k price ceiling. I've got a quote on a fully-loaded 2012 CR-V with leather and nav for $26,300. That's going to be tough to beat.
