Default RACE RAMP - Important - Need Input

I just received an email from Reverse Logic in regard to Race Ramps and clearance issues with the Race Ramp offerings and the 370Z. Please read and input your thoughts here as Fred at Reverse Logic is monitoring. IF there is enough interest there just may be a new Race Ramp offering that will work well with 370's that have clearance issues with current Race Ramps. Please read and reply. Thanks!

Bill -

You were one of my first customers to purchase the RR-56-2 Race Ramps for your 370Z. Although you have not reported any problems with the 10.75 degree incline I have noted several other forum members lamenting that the ramps are too steep and that the Xtenders were too expensive relative to the base price of the 2-pc 56" ramps.

Several months ago I asked Brute Industries to consider making 2-piece 56" and 67" ramps with an integrated Xtender. A 10" high one-piece ramp with an integrated Xtender would be a shipping and handling nightmare since it would be over 7' in length. But in my judgment the 2-piece design with a 2-stage incline should be a welcome addition to the range of ramps currently available.

I have asked the manufacturer to consider the following three designs.

1) Two-piece 10" high ramp. Uses same front section as current 67" ramp. The total length of the ramp would be about 87". The back section would have a 6.8 degree incline and would be about 63" long.

2) Two-piece 8" high ramp. Uses same front section as current 56" ramp. The total length of the ramp would be about 72". The back section would have a 6.8 degree incline and would be about 47" long.

3) One piece 7" high ramp. The length of the ramp would be about 64" and the 6.8 degree incline would be about 32" long before transitioning to a 10.75 degree incline.

Of the three designs, I am the least enthusiastic about the third one. I am concerned that the 7" height will be insufficient. And even more importantly, the ratio of my sales of the 2-pc to 1-pc ramps is 20 to 1. So there just is not that much interest in 1-piece ramps.

I think the 2-pc 8" high ramp with the 2-stage 6.8 degree and 10.75 degree incline is the best choice for me to test market the design. Since this is not a product in the Brute Industries catalog, I would have to commit to a significant quantity in order to negotiate a reasonable price. Brute Industries did agree that all three designs are feasible and will make them for me as a "custom" ramp.

I value your opinion and would appreciate your feedback. Do you think there would be an enthusiastic reception for the 2-pc 8" high ramp that I described above?
