Same, except I'm not at work right now. I just keep the same hours whether I am at the hospital or not.

A stock Z doesn't have a lot of power. Sorry if I offend you guys, but it just doesn't. The reason the Z is a bad idea for a n00b is because it's RWD. It's definitely too much car for an inexperienced driver, no matter how you slice it.

To answer your question OP... The 370Z has serious issues with cooling, and another area where the 350Z excels (ever so slightly) is in fuel tank design. If I were you, I'd buy a gently used 07-08 350Z and save the rest for maintenance.

No offense taken, but the Z is no v8 musclecar, the Z is a non-aspirated v6, for a v6 the power is pretty up there. But I think the OP should buy an 07 350z or G35. I actually would go G35 due to insurance being lower and the 07 G being a rare car. Don't pay over 21k and less than 30k miles. Then the other 15 or so k you have saved... I would use half to mod and save half for something else. But wait a year before you mod. Drive the car "SAFELY" and learn tthe cars limits under the legal conditions. Then customize based on your needs and weaknesses.

It does make great power for a non-aspirated car. I had no clue the engine was non-aspirated....how does it run?

It may not have the most "power" but I would definitely say its fast...

Fast is a matter of perspective.

I agree. But when its times are similar and close to all sort of V8's out there, id say its fast. Obviously its no vette or the like... Unless someone only thinks that something that runs a 10 second quarter or a 0-60 in 3.5 are the only things they consider fast... thats not realistic to me...

Hey guys! id like to first start off by introducing myself here (hey im max ), i know it should have been put in the intro section but id like the main topic of this discussion to focus on my real question to you all.

Iv received my drivers license and have been using my parents car for some time. Its not that they wouldnt help me out in buying a car, its that i cant take my eyes off the 370z. I dont want any other car, i dont think any other car looks as nice, and iv worked my butt off for 4 summers to finally gain enough money for the car. After obsessing over the car for about 4 years i couldn't help but look up ever detail about the car. iv came into a few problems that i would like "professional help" from (you guys!).

The main problem im having is choosing between the 370z NISMO and the 350z NISMO. i didnt even have the 350z in mind until i found it that it has many benefits over the 370z. the main things iv found are that the stock brakes on the 350z are better, its an overall lighter car. of course the look of the 370z completely tears the 350z apart with the long hood and boomerang head/readlights, and quite honestly iv even been putting money aside for the amuse body kit, but i care alot more about the performance as the 350 still looks amazing.

please help me out with providing the pros and cons between the 2 cars and how much it will effect the performance of my purchase between the 2 cars.

Any intelectual information is greatly appreciated, please no spam.

P.S. i really dont know how to summarize so for u guys that dont like to read. sorry.

Hey Max,

Just wondering will you track the Z, and while you are saying you are deciding between 370 and a 350, the price is quite a difference between the two, will you take that into consideration.

Secondly, if you are going to put Amuse Kit onto the either one, why do you need the NISMO? Performance wise, I don't see NISMO is that much better than a regular Z except the body kit.

Regarding the brake, the 350Z comes with Brembo brakes, it's better than the one on the 370Z, but unless you will track the car, DD on the 370Z sports brake is more than enough.

Lastly, what is your actual budget??

I've driven both, but not NISMO, I drive the 350z roadster for 4 years and I just got the 370z roadster 4 months ago. Honestly, I will strongly suggest the 370z, the chassis is better, engine is better, when I push the 350z to around 5k+ rpm from 3rd gear and up, the vibration is just soo much that I have to back off my right foot. It doesn't happen with the 370z, I feel confident to push the car.

I didn't mod any of the two.

Anyway, I will suggest your decision base on, your budget and also the purpose, DD or will you bring it to track.

Is it your first car? What had you driven before? If you believe you can handle this 330+hp RWD, go ahead, otherwise, you always can see what options do you have.
