Unknown says the 2011 GT does .95g on a track and .87g on the street. His .87G claim is one he pulled out of his rear end. Backed into a corner and unable to find the "article" that proves him right, he searches for the lowest number he can and calls it the "median" so as to support his aforementioned bogus claim.

Sounds legit to me!

Hey guys, in this test the 370Z pulls only .94 G on the skidpad: 2010 Ford Mustang vs. 2009 Nissan 370Z Comparison Test on Inside Line

So if it really does .99 on a track, and .94 is the median (until I can find a lower skidpad result, of course), then it only does .89 on the street! Sounds good to me.

But wait! The NISMO did .93g in this test: 2010 Nismo 370Z - Article - RoadandTrack.com

Even though Road & Track explains that variable conditions always play a role in tests like these, it's quite obvious that since the NISMO is superior to the Sport Package, the median Sport package skidpad time MUST be lower than .93G!

^^ This kind of logic just doesn't work, folks.

I know this is a 370z site but just getting outside opinions. I ask that you offer some objective opinions on other cars.

I have a 3.7 L mustang (only 18, want my 5.0 already though) and I think it is a very impressive car. It looks good and in my opinion looks better than the camaro.

I think the 5.0 Mustangs are amazingly nice cars. I have lurked here a bit and it seems that the 370 guys are a little envious of the power of the mustang. It seems that yall say the mustang is brute power, but it is actually a very nimble car for what it is. Tons of aftermarket suspension is available and these things can handle.

370z are really nice cars. I wouldn't mind owning one myself. They are good handling and make nice power. Very quick cars and are pretty beastly with people slapping tt's on them. I think they look really nice too and look closest to the porsche. But the interior in my opinion is definitely the weak link of the car for me and where you see its a Nissan. They really need to work on that, get rid of that orange on all the gauges and stuff and mellow it out. Simplicity is sometimes the best way to go.

Camaro in my opinion looks pretty fugly. Especially in yellow and that horrendous lime green. Yall think the Nissan can outhandle the Mustang?
I think the camaro would look pretty foolish. Overall they are impressive with their horsepower numbers, but just not my thing. Along with the Z, the interior needs work definitely.

Challenger, well they should not even be mentioned with any of these cars. Gigantic cars. Overweight. Terrible hp numbers. Terrible handling. Nice interior, which makes their owners turn to the ''its more of a luxury car" defense. Luxury? Not with that Dodge emblem on the car.

I don't post nearly as often as I should on this forum, but that's mostly because I still don't have a Z, so I try to glean as much information as I can from those who do/did own one. I also find the Mustang to be an appealing vehicle, so being able to pick up information on both platforms in one place is pretty sweet. M4A1's been on both sides of the Z/Mustang ownership fence, and he's also been very gracious and objective when discussing the pros/cons of each car over the years. I've been on here since '08 and have seen plenty of back-and-forths over this and similar topics, and ultimately, nobody wins. This thread is further proof of that.

Let's face it- some noob decided to serve up some sh!t and now premium members are sending it back and forth. Troll mission accomplished. Unknown- face it man, you got caught saying something was a fact with no empirical evidence to back up the claim. Whoops. It's cool, I used to do the same thing sometimes when I was backed into a corner. Just admit that it was a bad call borne of stubbornness, and move on. M4- You made your point about the Mustang, and it's too bad it's the same one you've had to make countless times. You know how it works, there'll always be folks who are hot for their car beyond reason, so as one of the resident OG's, make the point and move on. You've always struck me as having very solid, respectable character traits, and pounding on Unknown after he's clearly beaten isn't really in keeping with that is it? Magnanimous in victory, and all that.

Bottom line: What is it gonna take for all of us on this forum to figure out a way to discuss things meaningfully and respectfully, backing up statements with experience or legitimate data along the way?

Oh and to throw one final loop in the "median" calclulation, here's the MT .97g test of the Mustang: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS vs 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 vs 2011 Ford Mustang GT Comparison - Test Numbers - Motor Trend

.94g is the non-sport skidpad avg. Non sports have less grip on the skid than the sport. It always has been. I'm pretty sure on the street that number drops some as well. Skidpad tracks vs the street are hardly ever the same. You always get a better result on the skidpad on any car.

Thanks for the kind words of support. I get the feeling that you guys know who's right and who's wrong, so I'll just leave it at that. It's just tough when someone is so stubborn and unwilling to admit defeat.

That .94 is a sport package number, just FYI. Read the article. Look at the pictures of the test car.

I like skidpad booies of the DD size but when we get on the street they are only C's as the median so in reality they are probally B's
