There's not a simple, fixed answer for this. How much oil cooling you get depends on the weather, the oil cooler you purchase, how it's installed, and how you drive, among many other factors I'm sure. Even all of those factors accounted for the, the resulting drop in temps won't be a fixed amount across the temp range. The results will not look like you just adjusted the needle down by X degrees F. Maybe your stable idling point on an average day drops 20 degrees, but your peak under a certain type of hard driving drops 35 degrees. Who knows in your particular case, too many variables.

Just have to look around... Here is a post on a DIY Oil Cooler.

i agree it is somewhere between 30 and 50 F... keeping in mind you need to be generating airflow through the core(s)... will also depend on size and number of cores, size of lines, etc... my last time to track, running really hard, never went above 260F, would have been 300F+ previously

25-30 in normal street use based on my recent install... wstar's answer above is pretty spot on.

Different cores will yield different results though..

Wow, you guys are too nice. I would've told the guy to ask nicely or go to hell.
