I packed some other stuff around the bike after so it wouldn't move around. The interior remains flawless and unscratched.

You an all rest easy now

Wish I could put my mountain bike inside, but after rides...the bike gets too dirty :-(

I bought a trunk mount and mounted it successfully but I want a better way to secure the bottom straps rather than hook to under side of trunk lid (maybe hook underneath the car instead).

Not to thread jack, but wanted to share pictures...my other option is the sea sucker mount if this doesn't work out.

Nice, just for extra security, I would add a short strip of 3M for that whole area where the foam hits the trunk under the spoiler. Should cost you almost nothing to do it.

Yea, you're referring to 3m clear bra material right? I'm thinking about it...I haven't taken the bikes with my z yet...I did take it for a spin including the fwy, but not on a real ride.

If I can mount the bottom straps better and do use this regularly, I will definitely consider some protection for the trunk area.

Yeah clear bra or anything clear so the clear coat/paint doesn't dull out.

Takes less than 5 minutes to remove front tire and store bike in hatch. 2 towels used to catch mud/dirt and to minimize scratches.
