Help me decide..lol.. I would really like to know "real" world likes and dislikes about both cars. Some you have had or have a 350z and 370z..compare the two for me. Oh and please dont list the specs of each I know them already.
I know there are quite a few very low mileage 350s going for very attractive prices .... Any chronic mech. issues with 350z's? Any and all info would be awsome. A good driving comparison between the two..kind of thing..I hope you guys know what Im looking for. Thanks. Rich ny |

350z later years do not have tire feathering problems. 350z HR pulls like a V8 as well. Hollow Sound? Hehe.

Tire feathering was a big PITA on the 350...talk about maintenance expense. You need to keep your car aligned ALL the time to try and prevent it.
Love my 370, can't even compare it to my 350 because it is better in every way. Only thing I miss is the digital MPH gauge up in the pod, but no big loss. |

only 3 "safe" models on the 350z to get.
2005. 2007. 2008. the 03-04 had tire feather, 05 fixed. 06 Started new rev up engine and also new oil consumption problems. 07-08 never heard a problem. 350z better gas milage. 350z cheaper! cant beat cheaper some times. 370z feels like way more power than my 05 350z auto. as stated 370z auto = far superior. 370z better interior by far. looks, both look good to me. 370z manual with syncro rev = far superior for novice like me. All in all, my 370z feels like its a whole different car over my 05 350z. Drove 05 350z for 2.5 years Drove 370z for 2 months. I defintly would NOT want to go back to a 350z. |

I feel like there is a lot of favoritism going on here for the 370 - some well deserved and some not so much.
1) Yes, the 370 interior is miles above the 350 in terms of quality. 2) If you're not picky, the 350 interior is still better than most cars in the price range. 3) IMO, the 350 engine (VQ35DE, 03-05 models) actually feels torquier down low than the 370 engine. The 370 pulls more above 4k rpm. 4) I had an 04 and never had tire feathering issues, transmission issues, or any sort of issues whatsoever. I owned it for a year and a half, put 25000 hard-driven miles on it, with 8 track weekends and 4 autocrosses. This translates to more than 23 hours on track - and I was NEVER easy on the car. Never a single issue.

LOL. Well, this is a 370Z forum. I'm guessing if this same question were posted over on my350, we'd see favoritism in the other direction. No real surprise there. Point being, it's going to be hard to get an unbiased answer no matter where the question is posted.

I traded in an 05 350Z for my 370Z.
reasons: 1) 370Z looks better - subjective 2) 370Z interior is FAR better 3) 370Z power delivery in high RPMs is far better (my 05 had 287HP stock) I don't regret the decision at all.

Well I do agree about the looks of the 370z..with it having more of the orig. "Z" look (from the side anyway) and the 350z looking more along the lines of the late model 300zx. I did state above that I do like the later model 350z's hood bulge..I just love it. the 370z's hood and roof is just crap if you ask me. That being said certainly not a deal breaker..for me.
I def. like the idea of having the low-end torque..mmm.. Thanks all for posting and love the read the thoughts. I did not know there was a "350z" forum..(any linky?) Thanks again.. Rich ny |

My comparison notes between the two here: Initial 370Z v. 350Z impressions (after 5 days of 370Z ownership)

Both are great cars. YOu can't go wrong with either of them. I personally think 370Z offers so much for the money. New chassis, new design, new suspension, interior, technologies etc. Get the one fits your wallet and you'll be happy EITHER way!

I still own a 2007 350z and I don't have ANY complain about it, this car, in my own experience, made me be a more enthusiast car lover, specially for the heritage of Z's. One advantage that 350z's are having right now over the 370z is price range. Both of them are going to give you what you want, power, performance, great coupe style, a daily drivers car and a big smile. |
