totally agree. My only complain would be lack of low end tq in the 370Z but it makes up for it when you go past 4K RPM.

Both are great cars. YOu can't go wrong with either of them. I personally think 370Z offers so much for the money. New chassis, new design, new suspension, interior, technologies etc. Get the one fits your wallet and you'll be happy EITHER way!

Well I do agree about the looks of the 370z..with it having more of the orig. "Z" look (from the side anyway) and the 350z looking more along the lines of the late model 300zx. I did state above that I do like the later model 350z's hood bulge..I just love it. the 370z's hood and roof is just crap if you ask me. That being said certainly not a deal breaker..for me.

I def. like the idea of having the low-end torque..mmm..

Thanks all for posting and love the read the thoughts. I did not know there was a "350z" forum..(any linky?)

Thanks again..

I don't regret the decision at all.

At first, a lot of people didn't like the styling changes, some were neutral. I fall into the neutral camp. After owning my 370 for almost 2 months now, and having the opportunity to see it daily from a variety of angles, I agree with you that the 350 looks dated now. The 370 is muscular and aggressive. The 350 is still a nice looking car, and years down the road will probably be considered a "Z" classic, but it still looks dated now IMO next to a 370.

If you get a 350, I would look for a sweet deal on a 2008, zero issues I know of, and dealers that have them left over are discounting heavy. My dealer was selling a new 2008 Nismo over $10,000 below sticker.

The only reason IMO to pick a 350 over a 370 is the styling. I would not pick up a DE in any regard, definitely go for an HR. HR responds well to bolt on as well, has a slightly updated interior, and has worked out many of the issues.

That being said, put the two together, I think it's very easy to see how outdated the 350z looks. It's a bit of a shocker to even say that, considering how amazingly different the 350 looked when it came out.

You can get into the modding war, but there is very little doubt, the 370 is a better car in every regard. On other forums HR owners will fight until the bitter end stating the 370 is not faster, and basically pick it apart.. In my test drive I noticed a giant leap forward in refinement, while maintaining the essential bare sports car feel I loved about the original 350.

I am always a fan of advancement, even when the REV UP engine came out, I was jealous of it, when it was nearly the same. Too me, there is always very little doubt the newer model wins..

The 350 was a great car, made from a company (Nissan) in not so great financial condition it was an impressive achievement. The 370 works out much of what was lacking in the 350 while still retaining the Z car feel.

Default A370 or 350z

I would consider a Nismo edition 350. Might you know the color of the Nismo your dealer is selling?
oh and is there any performance advantage the 350 Nismo has over a non-Nismo350z ?

Thanks

I can't remember the color Rich, but I can call and talk to my salesman for you. About a month ago I think they still had 2 of them. deep discounts. If the price was right would you be interested in purchasing this far away? If so, let me know and I will get you some more concrete info. Power is the same as a regular 2008 350 I believe, improved handling/performance suspension.

350z later years do not have tire feathering problems.

Hollow Sound? Hehe.

The VHR hasn't proven to be really any faster YET at the drag strip over a HR powered 350z. I ran the drags last Wednesday (1 week ago) and a 370z was doing 13.9-14.4 while I was doing 13.8-14.1 with 104 mph traps. He also did 101-104 traps. But I had no traction in 1st gear while he did when I saw him launch.

Like many have said, the HR has done 13.1 stock at the strip. It will happen but they are so equally matched that it really comes down to the driver. The 370z right now is not faster than the HR and vice versa.

You should be able to get a NISMO new for around 28k for left overs. I had to pay 38k for mine, when it first came out! lol.

Ak is right.
I still own a 2007 350z and I don't have ANY complain about it, this car, in my own experience, made me be a more enthusiast car lover, specially for the heritage of Z's.
One advantage that 350z's are having right now over the 370z is price range.
Both of them are going to give you what you want, power, performance, great coupe style, a daily drivers car and a big smile.

How many times has this person done a 13.1 over and over on a constant basis? Or is it just once? Is it this car only?

Im sure i can score a point at half court by tossing basket ball all the way across if i take 1,000 trys, but the lakers are still not going to hire me.

What is the average quater mile for a 350z that almost any one can obtain?
