why no supercharger whine

I'd really prefer a very quiet 100 more hp...when people decide to f around I'll just blow their doors off and they'll think again before messing with another Z

You've got open dumps and you're able to "keep it discreet"? Sound clips or it didn't happen!

If you drive normal then you can most definitely keep the noise down. Even going easy it's not quiet but it's not obnoxious.

Well, that would an open exhaust.

Having open dumps on just the waste gates will only get loud when the waste gates open.

I have the Berk exhaust with 3" down pipes and my car is only slightly louder than stock as long as I stay off the boost.

I have heard Old School's car and if he wants he can keep it quiet, but whenever I am around it always seems to be so loud for some reason.

think most of you are missing the point of the sc kits avalible for the 370z. The whine is usally from a roots or twin screw type supercharger, the ones on the z is centrifical supercharger and theres a reason for that. Do you honestly believe u can fit a roots blower ontop of the engine and have it under the hood? its a matter of space.

She is a bit throaty at idle...but the way I drive...no one sees my coming. Dual 3" aam has a nice sound at cruise...when the wastegates open...traffic parts. Lol

Truth. But the Stillen 350Z kits sat on top, and needed a cowled hood retrofit to fit it underneath. You could probably engineer the same on the VQ37, with a modified manifold, and need the same cowl top.

Actually it can be done I bet, but after the Stillen 350z SC (roots) and how poorly it performed no one is going to invest in one for the VQ motor.
