yah, even my G's paint is harder than the Z. they are both brilliant silver and same paint code, yet they are a slightly different shade. it's pretty ridiculous how soft the paint is.
on a black, definitely use polymer sealant and keep a good coat of LSP on top... everything shows up on dark solid colors.
bird crap can be very acidic based on wat the bird ate. i recommend you also look into doing a full clearbra if things are really bad. :)
G's get an extra coat of paint and clear... I miss the tech pkg paint on the G. :( nissan hates us... lol. Strangely enough. I have hit high speeds and barely have any chips on my 11 compared to my 09: they are approaching the same miles and this Z has 80% less chips.

At less than 200 mile on the odometer it has chips on the hood from teeny stones while my other, much okder cars have none. Nice car but I will never buy a nissan again. No use having a beautiful car that you have to keep garaged or covered. I wonder if Nissan is aware of this problem.
Good luck finding a better paint job in cars under $60k. All companies are switching to this weak eco-paint.

:iagree:, they are using water based paints now, better for the environment, not good for detailing fanatics.
