Default Hot Oil? At Least it's Not the GT-R Tranny...

Guys, I know a number of people here have run into problems with very hot oil, but remember, things could be much much worse... Like the GT-R's tranmission problem. I know a lot of you have heard about the GT-R's old problems, but I have never seen a guy so angry as this. You really should see this video. Since it is not in english, make sure you read the subtitles. I wonder if he owns a 370 with oil temp issues? How would he react?

Default Dont know

Not sure about the problems the current R is having, and not sure about problems of the 32,33,34 either. And Ive owned a 32 and 2 33's. Never had problems with any of them......other than going through tires an awful lot.

That's one of the many false myths that were circulating. The GT-R uses regular floating rotors (2 piece design). Probably around $1K to replace rotors and pads.

The upcoming Spec-V has the carbon-ceramic rotors that will cost several thousand to replace, $5-6K my guess just for rotors.

AP Racing, Endless, and Project-U have aftermarket brake sets(rotors/calipers) that range from $2,400-$5,200. Pad prices range from 180-260 bucks.
