Man as much as I agree with everything you said. Its not the situation or his anger. Its the way the thread is written. Look at the opening question? Are you proud of your Z. Then he's goes on about hondas and toyotas. And camaro and vette owners laughing at him. Man i'd be hella pissed in his situation too. But my thoughts wouldn't be in what vette drivers are thinking seeing me here. If his frustration was written in the actual situation and not what camaro mustang and vette owners think about him being stuck. He wouldn't need a flame suit. There's different ways to express your frustration with a car or its operational malfunctions.. he just struck nerves. I think if he would have been more direct and just said. "I'm tired of my nissan stalling. I'm going to look into another car. Or I never had this problem with other brands." People would have been more eager to help. And in 09, even though we had more experienced guys that helped a lot BUT there were more flamers and harsher ones than we have now. And everyone was in little groups flaming people. Many were also pretentious and acted like the Z was a ferrari or did the complete opposite. We had overly passionate members back then. I think today. We are a much more united forum even though many are less experienced. |

The question was directed at NISSAN... And it's quite obvious it was a heat of the moment thing. We all know we say things we don't mean or we shouldn't when we are pissed.

I think Nissan should have a little shame, and yes, due to my experience with Toyotas I have high expectations of Japanese cars (freaking shoot me). The point about the Camaro and Corvette is that is exactly why I bought a Nissan. I didn't want to be the guy in a Chevy stuck in the parking lot, having a Nissan driving by me validating their good decision not to go with a Chews-Heads-Eats-Valves-Yearly. It makes me feel foolish thinking that I could expect the quality I have experienced with my Toyotas. At risk of getting more hate directed at me, I can list the other ridiculous issues I have had with Zeda (notice I refer to my car by her name, not my Z). But like a few women I have dated in the past, she is beautiful, but has a few issues (I will leave it at that). Also stated by me: 1) I love Zeda and driving her everyday and will not get rid of her 2) My next car will probably be a GTR 3) I chose Nissan because I was impressed by how well they held up as rental cars It is one thing to criticize for my statements, but it is another thing altogether to fabricate statements and then attack me. You don't think Nissan engineers should have a bit of shame for seeing that picture? I think you would be singing a different tune when you merely want to grab some coffee for the purpose of driving your Z, then not being able to drive back the mile back home to start the work day. Again, you don't have any value for my time, but I do. I think you read into it what you wanted...and for what purpose? |

"In the heat of the moment?"So you're telling me he wrote the thread on the side of the road??? That kind of heat of the moment. Yeah I guess I need to go back and read the thread.

You're assuming he'd cool down very quickly. He was probably PO'd for a while after he got home. Just thinking about dealing with it for a second time is probably enough to set some people off.

Yeah it would take at least a day or two for me to be completely over something like that when it happens for the second time. It's worse if it makes you miss work or something because that just adds to the stress of the situation.

Anyway I did go back and read the thread. I did not notice the final question. Nissan are you proud of this product. Like I do understand where he's coming from but... people are people. Maybe some of the guys here traded a really crappy toyota that accelerated them into a wall and killed a family relative. Then when they bought a nissan they haven"t had an issue and his comment brought bad memories. Your analysis can go both ways. I know one of my family was hurt badly by the toyota defects that needed recalls. Sh1t happens.

To be fair though, BlackZeda's first couple posts in the thread can be very easily taken to be inflamatory. Like I said, a lot of tone gets lost with words on a computer screen. We all do it. Just have to try and clarify better in the follow ups. |

I can't bite my tongue anymore, obviously OP's frustration was directed at Nissan, and any one of us would have been upset as well. If you're not going to make a helpful post, please move on |

For certain I do feel that I have a lot more leverage when I go into the dealership or when I speak to Nissan about issues due to the knowledge and experience I can glean from this forum. Again, if any forum members are offended, I apologize. But if a Nissan engineer or quality engineer is reading this, I hope you feel some shame and do something about it. Talk about inflammatory, you should read that Car and Driver article about the 5 corner-carver shootout. They were savage. |

It was a bunch of car guys back then, and if there were problems, we talked about them. If "more united" is code for "we are a bunch of Z fanboys who unite to jump people's **** who dare point out flaws on the Z" then you can have it. That's not unity, it's a fuckin lynch mob.

The extent of our fighting in 2009 was over which of RCZ's bed sheets we liked better. The original floral print was always my favorite.
