Yes you had a bad experience but most people put Nissan among Toyota and Honda and looking in this thread, most people are saying thats not happened to them If my Z died on me, granted I'd be upset, especially if I had somewhere to be but I couldn't see myself walking into the dealer asking they be "accountable" For the money I paid, I expect them to "fix" it and provide me with my vehicle in in proper working order so i can enjoy it as intended. If they can't do that, then its time to raise my arms. Why do I feel like I'm being "trolled" lol

BlackZeda --
Every car maker I know of and have experienced (I have been owning, driving, working on, rebuilding, wrecking and restoring cars for more than 36 years) has problems. Sometimes these are in a few, limited situations and sometimes the problems are more widespread. To judge an entire company by a few issues that you have had with a single vehicle is neither logical nor fair. You like Toyotas? That's cool because they are very reliable cars; boring as all get out across the board, but reliable. Heck, my wife drives a Toyota and one of my favorite cars was my 1975 Celica. However, if you were one of the guys with the unintended acceleration problem or got your floor mat caught up in the gas pedal, you might be singing a different tune. As far as Nissans go (z's in particular) my experience is that they are highly reliable and long-lasting. My 370 is my 11th Z car and I still have one of my 240's -- a '71. The 240z has 280,000 or so miles on it, one of my sons has a hand-me-down 1982 280zx (turbo) with more than 350,000 miles and my other son a hand-me-down 1983 280zx NA with about 360,000 miles. These are just a few examples and none of these has had major problems. I don't know what my point is, exactly, other than to illustrate that when one is stranded it is easy to be upset and say hurtful things. Nissan makes very good cars, just like many other companies. Be patient with what probably are a few freak occurrences, be thankful that you have a good dealer to work with and don't worry so much. -- onzedge has written...

Not going to sell her and as soon as she is paid off I will be modding her like crazy! Even before that I will be adding an oil cooler, some beefy brakes, new rims and a custom paint job. |

/\ cliffs: onzedge is an old bastard. ...and he really likes his Z cars. /\ steering column lock or something or other was/is an issue with a noticable amount of 09 Zs (and GTRs too I might add). |

How would you feel if your Toyota ran away into an intersection? You would say the same crap. But your massive sample size of 5 didn't include that experience, so you think they are perfect or something. When you can find pph to back up your claim about Nissan 370z vs. Toyota, ill be satisfied. Until then, I'm sorry, Toyota kindof sucks. When I worked for Ford in '05 we were already rated higher in quality. Toyota is just boring and their quality isn't what you think it is. I'm not defending Nissan, I just think your faith in Toyota is not justified. |

Sorry, just saw the issue. I'm on my cell. Dude. That's so minor its a joke. I have had other brands do it too. It's not brand specjfic. It's like hating Nissan because the windshield wiped motor went out twice. It's not a quality marker, really.
