This would be an easy search. But I will do you this one.

jetguy 01-16-2012 01:48 PM

short answer is there are no lap time results for the 370z. there are for the gtr and the 350z

I wish I had the funds to ship my car to race on the Nurburgring. That would be dream come true.

Nope, driver got bored and stopped mid way through. Went and bought a 5.0 Mustang and drove it instead....:stirthepot:

A simple search of "370z nurburgring" yielded the following thread: http://www.the370z.com/track-autocro...rburgring.html

On page 3 of this thread is this link: Lap Times – Nurburgring, Bedford, Hockenheim, Serres Lap Times – Predicted Lap Times – StrikeEngine

And on that site the 370Z is listed with a lap time of 491.28 (or 8:11.28) as tested by Best Motoring magazine.

The search function can do wonders. :tiphat:

Haha! :iagree:

On a side note, does anyone know the 'ring time for a 2011 Mustang GT? Searched but couldn't find anything reliable.

Rusty 01-17-2012 12:37 AM

Going through all those spread sheets with lap times. I came across a Nismo 400R. Whats that? It had a actual time of 471.9 or 7.865 minutes.

Let's just note that is a predicted lap time.

Only the ones in yellow in their spreadsheet. Oddly though, the 370Z doesn't show up in their spreadsheet. It's only listed on the main web page. In any case, the point I was actually trying to make is that the OP could have put a little more effort into using the search function.

Shows up yellow on my screen

Regardless, best motoring does not appear to list the z on their list, which makes me question the time even more.

In the op's defense, I've still not seen a lap time. Perhaps he searched and was just wondering if the z has run since the last discussion.

Pharmacist 01-17-2012 01:43 PM

i don't think anyone actually attempted to set a laptime around the nurburgring for either a 370z or the mustang gt. my prediction is that a stock z with oil cooler will lap in the 8:15 to 8:20 time, based on actual times posted by comparable cars.

You sure? I ran a 'Find' on 370Z within Excel and it came up empty. I'm talking about the link called "Lap Times XLS." Actually here, I'll just paste a direct link: http://www.strikeengine.com/car-stat...time-chart.xls

lol1234 01-17-2012 04:38 PM

350Z ran 8:26 (2003 VQ35DE)

I could see a 370Z running 8:15-8:20

maybe closer to 8-8:10 with the Nismo

semtex 01-17-2012 04:44 PM

Did some Googling and found this. Not a lap time, but entertaining none the less.

So there is still no real 370z lap time right? Let's post it here if some one gets a real one.

Looking at Wikipedia there is still no 370Z lap time at Nürburgring.
I was curious how a 370Z Nismo compares to the 2017 Honda Civic Type R...
