I thought the op was a guy..

They never said one way or the other. I didn't see a dude pro 16yr old golfer.
|
Lol I'm a guy and their are tons of 10-20k prize money tournaments at local country clubs. And they are Opens so you don't have to be a "pro" to enter them. But I appreciate all the effort Kaienz34 went through to try and find me

Just be mindful of other people when driving. |
Honestly, there is nothing wrong for a driver to drive a modded car, a Ferrari or whatever, as long as you drive within your limit and be responsibe.
The things is what you, as a 16 years old, will face in real world. are prejudgements from other people and extra comments/fingers pointing at you if you done anything wrong, such as accident, speeding or cutting off people lane. It's gonna be VERY VERY HARSH on you. The other thing is, when other people see a 16 years old driving a modded import, exhaust noise and stuffs, they gonna thought you are a spoiled kid, cops gonna choose to stop you rather than a 40 yrs old driving the same Z, you will have to expect that's gonna happen alot, and you gonna hold your breath and stay calm. Nobody will know you earn your own money to make this happen except us in this forum. It sounds ridiculous and shallow, but sadly it is what it is. Of course, we forum Z members always welcome any new Z owner. It's just from looking at you background, 16 with 70k looking for a sport car with heavy mod in mind, it just makes us raise our eyebrows, but be expect it will happen to you in real world too. Have fun on the buying, you might not need to mod it right away, an orginal Z is very very enjoyable to drive!!! note: as long as you drive responsiblely, ppl gonna respect you. :) cheers |
alcheng is right, it's good to enjoy the car for awhile as it sits, to create an appreciation for it. Get to know it before doing the heavy mods, and make sure it is what you really want. Great care must be taken while driving it though. It's hard enough being attentive driver at age 16, much less in a small sports car with low visibility that many people on the road try to bully. Good luck. ibtl

But I have one question left for everyone. I researched the forced injection forums a little like *Forgot his name* said. And I still don't get the difference between twin-turbo and supercharged. Is their like a simple way to explain the differences or is it more complex than that? I did find this TT kit GTM Motorsports*::*FORCED INDUCTION*::*GTM 370Z (TURN KEY) TWIN TURBO KIT But I can't find any numbers for it and don't know if this is better than the GTM supercharger or what? Sorry for my confusing writing but basically, GTM supercharger vs GTM TT? And on the TT page. It has "Turbo Kit Stages" and they say 500hp, 700hp, 900hp, 1000hp. Can someone explain this for me? And what would be like the 0-60 times with the TT or supercharger? (Yes, I know 0-60 doesn't matter to most people but jw.) Thanks again:tiphat: |
Good luck kid. The guys on here have been very helpful. Take their advice and do some research before you buy anything. You've got a LOT of reading to do. Just be glad you're not getting a 350Z and posting this thread on my350z.com... they're ruthless over there lol.

Wish I was smart enough to have started investing at a young age. I believe I was playing Starcraft at that time :D
