Security indicator light
quick question, is the security indicator light suppose to be flashing the entire time the car is not being driven? Where is its power source? If the car is parked for a long period of time (ie days), would it drain the battery if that is its power souce?

Not sure what you're calling the security indicator light. When you are near the car with the key fob, the indicator of the car with a key inside it flashes. The power source for everything on the car would be the battery when the car is not running. Would that little occasional blinking light kill a car battery...maybe in a 100 years.

yes that is the light i am talking about. its a red car with a key in the middle. it does not need the key fob near it to keep flashing, its just flashing all the time when car is not running. just wanted to make sure that is normal with all 370z. thanks for the reply.

No. The car has no way of knowing if the windshield is broken or not.

Look through the Owner's Manual and see which lights are supposed to be on at what time. If you find something amiss, let us know. Or take it back to the dealer and let them handle it - why would they hand a car over to you that was displaying warnings?

The security system can be rather complicated, so it is very possible that one of the sensors has been tripped or damaged. I'd start by doing an OBD scan for DTCs (trouble codes).

It depends on the status of the light(s). You need to read the DTCs to find out what the problem is. I don't know the situation in Peru, but in US most auto parts stores will loan/rent an ODB scanner that will read the DTCs.

Assuming you mean the key hidden in the fob, I don't think the valet key will trip any alarms, but I'm not 100% sure.
