Just crashed
So i just crashed the **** out of my car. heres the part i love, my favourite part. It wasnt my fault. I was driving (traction control on) because it was wet road, and raining. going about the speed limit and out of nowhere some guy hits me from behind, i completely spin out and hit the median, where i knock out 2 trees and a lamp post. guy speeds off and i try to catch him but i realise i have a flat tire and half my car is on the road. so i just got home, and ill file a police report and tell insurance tomorrow. whoever it was that ******* **** is going to cost me a lot of trouble and money probably.
So, the moment you've all been waiting for - The pictures from the accident. Sorry it took so long. Last edited by DinoJ; 05-16-2009 at 02:17 PM. |

It's going to be hard to catch him if you don't have a plate. But I hope you at least got witnesses. If not, it's gonna be a a b*tch working this out and convincing the cops and insurance.

Any reason why you didn't call police and insurance when you got home instead of posting online? This baffles me.

Tough
Thats gonna be real tough to get the cops to buy off on this one. Should have never...NEVER left the scene. Glad you are fine, but shouldnt have left the scene.

DinoJ, I'm with CPD and just to let you know you should have NEVER left the scene.. and you should have called the us immediately... it kinda makes it easier for us to catch whoever did this to you.. so they pay instead of you through ur insurance.. what highway were you on ?

I know I shouldnt have left the scene originally I did it to try and catch up to the guy to see if I could get a plate but he was long gone. Wether the police believe it or not, Insurance should still pay for it right shouldn't they? I mean even if it was my fault they still would have, yes?
This wasn't on a highway zboi it was on tylersville right after mason middle school. I just was so freaked out about the whole situation and I think I have/had a mild concussion and some whiplash. I dont know.. bad situation handled badly. Oh and I do have a witness but he didnt get the plate number, hes my colleague from work. |

Yes, insurance will pay but you will end up with a black mark on the policy as you were unable to identify the other vehicle. Whether it will result in any kind of insurance surcharge varies by state.
By law you typically have to call the police to the scene if there is more than $1000 in damage and file a full report within 24 hours (again this varies by state). The police would have checked your vehicle for the initial impact damage looking for paint etc to collaborate your story. |

Damn, That sucks.
When I got hit. First thing is to look for the plate, like a natural reflex. Premium increase is gonna suck also. Did you atleast get the make/model?? Anything....... |
