blind spot --
OK,
what have all you done about the blind spot, only thing that I am having a problem with on my Z, and getting use to driving it. Ford has a great idea on the focus with convex lenses built into the side view mirrors. I was thinking of looking for some to put on the mirrors. It really drives me up the wall. The other thing I miss with the Z, its a little short on torque, then again my daily car is 91 Mustang GT thanks for anything and everything...... |

Most blind spot threads are going to go the same way; some people will tell you that if you just adjust your mirrors correctly, it won't be an issue. Others will tell you to to go wal mart / autozone and pick up the little stick on convex mirrors, as red did above. Then people will tell you to never stick those little mirrors on, because they look terrible. Then a practicality versus aesthetics argument ensues.
For the record, I'm in the "if you adjust the mirrors correctly, there is no blind spot" category. |

ok, I can try adjusting the mirrors, but at times it reminds me when I drove Formula Ford, look over my shoulder and you couldn't see anything.
So when adjusting the mirrors how much of the body work do you see? |

I have no body work visible in the mirrors. Setup like this, as a car leaves my rear view mirror, it comes into my side view mirror. As it starts to leave my side mirrors I can make a quick glance left or right and see the car in my side windows. Even so, i can't angle my side mirrors as far out as I would like. I prefer to have a very very small overlap between my rear view mirror and side mirrors and I can't get it as small as I want due to limited adjustment. So right now, my mirrors are angled as far out as i can possibly get them.

Best help for blind spot and I still look back. Sometimes the car on either of your side will disappear for a mili sec.

I just power through into the other lane after insuring that my courtesy indicators are on!

Hold the horn and swerve into the desired lane.Honestly the blind spots are not that bad. You just need to learn the car and adjust mirrors accordingly. It is a small car, not really much space for hiding in blind spots.

Truth! I almost hit a RX300 hiding in my blind spot while trying to merge left. I even looked out the side window beforehand That same day I searched this forum and decided I needed a stick-on convex mirror. It works well, but I wish that there was a replacement stock convex mirror.
