Who says the Z is not a family car?!
Here's a picture of the trunk of our Z today after my wife and I went grocery shopping.
We were standing in the checkout line with all this when the light went off: "Crap, we drove the Z" Somehow, we (mainly her) got everything in. What isn't included in this picture is the small cooler, usually in the trunk, that was on my wife's lap for the trip home. That had the frozen stuff in it. |

I was able to fit my wife, a cooler, a 24" iMac, 2 suitcases, backpack, 2 weeks of clothes, some groceries and misc. It was tight, but my wife was able to get it all got in there.

I couldn't figure out what the heck I was looking at until I read your "roadster" comment. Looks like there's a lot more room in my coupe! That's a funky trunk thingy in there.

The z has a ton of room compared to some other 2 seat sports cars I've had. You could always do what one of the 350Z owners did in my Z club. He refabricated the back and put in two G rear seats in his Z. It looks like they always belonged there. Nothing like seeing a 4 seat Z.

The Coupe has a ton of space in the hatch for groceries. Larger bulky items can be tricky, but I did buy a 25 gallon fish tank once and hauled it home in the Z. It just barely cleared the rear glass.
Groceries... no problem. I could go to Costco and buy in bulk and still fit everything in the Z.
