Help!! Engine malfunction light up!
 

Help!! Something's wrong with my Z as i'm in 4th gear and suddenly the power just gone and the engine malfunction warning lights up..i try to rev but still now power at all..luckily theres nobody behind me or else he certainly would have hit me! Somebody had experienced this please help me:(

Is it okay today? Could it have been limp mode? From my understanding, it's still in the 90s where you're at, so it's possible. I just can't remember if the engine light comes on for limp mode.

Limp mode.... limp mode! Did you "thrash" the car lately?

I didnt 'thrash' nor it is in limp mode since im just revving it around 4k.. I switched her off and waited for about 5 minutes and started her back on and suddenly the power's there.. But to be on the safe side i didnt rev her no more than 2k..maybe i should go to the dealership to get her checked?

It may have been warm weather related in which its normal because it hitting high oil temp, And it's going into the 1st stage of limp mode which is 4k or it's an ecm glitch? And won't return like it's happened to others from what I've seen. Let us know what happens if you decide to take it or if it goes away

Thanks for the excellent response everyone! I'll be sure to send her to the dealership just to make sure of the exact problem. If this still goes on, i could already smell oil cooler will be installed lol
