Nope, strap wrench and channel locks is what it took for me. Be sure to wrap the shaft with a towel so you don't scratch it. Also, it helps to wrap the knob with painters tape then duct tape for extra grip.

the engraving flaws on mine are hardly noticable. I am sure PJDM would replace it if I wanted (with their exceptional customer service) but it's honestly not noticable enough for it to be worth the trouble. You got a repeated customer PJDM! Edit: ^ it's twice as heavy as the stock knob

Got my O-rings in the mail on Saturday and installed the PWJDM Shift Knob today. First impression after a spirited drive...AWESOME! I have a large hand and was a little worried that it wasn't going to be conducive to palm shifting, but I knew right away as I was pulling out of the garage that it was perfect!

I am trying to get it off right now but the Oem shift knob just seems to be spinning in place and not loosening up. Any suggestions?
