PWJDM- here's mine.

i used a plastic spacer i had in my parts bin to raise the boot.

i had one issue which you might be able to revise. the decorative stripe had very tiny burrs on mine and it was enough to shred my suede glove a little bit during the test drive.

later that night i took my file (and my time not to scratch the brushed area) and smoothed it out.

the weight and size imho is very good. the mt.fuji look on the boot didnt really look too bad in person so i just left it.

^^^ That looks quite nice, Mr. Kenchan. I look forward to actually trying mine when I get back home from my folks' house here in Long Beach.

Question, though, Suede glove? Nice.

I was thinking recently about getting a pair of driving gloves so I don't scratch the finish of my new knob, but felt that it might perhaps be a bit too ostentatious!

Hahaha. It gets cold here, thus the gloves. In the summer unless I'm sweating in a car with no a/c I don't wear gloves. . The gloves makes the steering consistent.

Hmm, pics pwease?

Does the shift ring slip on at all, or does it just not slip down far enough to get the knob threaded?

I installed the knob without the ring for now I'll snap some pictures tomorrow. It does slip over however not far enough to start threading the knob on

Man that's weird. Sound like a possible manufacturing issue.

Did you remove the aluminum spacer that was under the stock shift knob?

I didn't have to remove my aluminum spacer. Everything slid together with ease and tightened down perfectly, just like it was waiting to come home!
