Default Tire hit my windshield =(

I was driving down the 405N and I see this SUV run over a tire on the freeway, I swerve left and the tire ended up hitting my windshield. My windshield is now cracked (all throughout the passenger side) and needs to be replaced. My A pillar also has a crack, it's about 1.25 inches long but it's a hairline crack.
How should I go about fixing the A pillar? It seems like it's just the paint that has cracked but I'm not too sure. I was thinking about just buying nissan touch up paint to fix it but I'm not sure if there is any underlying damage.
As for the windshield, how much would it be to replace? Also, is there anything I need to be cautious of when replacing it?

If you have a $500 deductible go that route since the oem windshields about 1k from last I heard. This way the pillar and windshield get fixed at the same time, And you won't have to deal with it. If you don't want to go that route? call a local windshield shop and get some quotes but make sure you see what they charge for oem vr non oem and see if that works for you? But you'll still need to deal with the damaged pillar but if your cool with touch up then go that route.

I'd get all your quotes together, then call your insurance company and ask them directly that if you have them pay for it, how much are they going to raise your rates by and for how long. I had a little headlight damage on a previous vehicle, and through this method decided it wold be best to not use insurance.

Good advice.

Be thankful it didn't go through the windhield or impair your vision enough that you lost control of the car. You were very lucky.

A-pillar is just a plastic piece. You can get one from courtesyparts.com. they come prepainted.

Sorry to hear.

Update: 500 dollar deductible is what I have but I decided to go with aftermarket. The place I went to had dealt with a couple g37's and 370's so they're pretty reputable. Charging me 240 for the new windshield. Since this has happened, I have replaced my rear hatch, and driver side window (due to some bricks and vandalism) and now this haha. If I had stayed in that lane I woulda got destroyed by that tire :P

As for the A pillar, I'm not too worred since it's just a hairline crack in the paint and it's barely noticeable. Touch up paint from nissan should work.

The shop took great care of my car and was able to put a nice new windshield in . As for the A pillar, I took it to the dealership, they said they can fix the paint for 50$.

In some (all?) states, windshield repair is free. Covered 100% by insurance.

I feel very lucky to be alive. If I hadn't swerved out, that tire would've went through the middle of my windshield and hit me in the process. It hit my windshield + A-pillar instead.

Well, good thing for you the glass didn't give way. Also, the glass is relatively easy to replace and look good versus having to fix the body and then paint....
