When my wifes Porsche blew the engine at 55k miles we had a similar experience. Here's how it went...

1. I'm cruising at around 75 mph down the freeway then.. rumble rumble rumble and on come all the dash lights and the car dies. Me: "Oh snaps... my wife's gonna kill me" (girlfriend at the time)

2. Tow the car to the closest Porsche dealership who inspect the blown engine and say that the warranty was up at 50k. We're on the hook out of pocket for a new (refurbished... gee thanks Porsche) engine!

3. Wife: "Oh hell no... not 5k after warranty is out with only 55k on car!"

4. Wife calls Porsche North America, informs them that they are about to get sued along with the local dealership where she bought the car. (Wifey's a lawyer)

5. Porsche apologizes and says "Oh what? No no no... we will replace the engine at no cost to you. Sorry for any missunderstanding".

So there it is. I don't know what the warranty is like for an AM but I'm sure when you cut through all the BS and start at the top (Aston North America) you will yield some firm results right quick.

A little side note is that Wifey was talking to one of the sales reps at the time at our local dealership who sorta had loose lips and mentioned that the (insert model and year here) had some problems with blowing engines due to (fill in the blank). That bit of info played into her argument with PNA pretty well. Aston may have a similar circumstance.

She started and sold a very successful company in her late 20's. She has the Porsche in our house in Florida, and Range Rover for winters here in Canada, and the Aston for summers.....

If you were young, successful and could afford to treat yourself after selling a company, wouldn't you?

yea probably. I'd only buy 1 high end car tho, probably an Aston or a high end Benz. Maybe a Zr1 or something. Seems like a lot to pay taxes and maintain 3 high end cars.

What was the company/what did it do if you don't mind me asking?

No worries, to each their own. She co-founded a cosmetics (hair care) company which was eventually sold to Estee Lauder....

Yea, and I wouldn't be whining on an internet forum about replacing the clutch on my Aston Martin either.

I'm calling B.S. on this one.

Actually I'm pretty sure Sibze or someone else has posted pics of car and GF on the forums....

I've posted pics of her in a bikini on the "hot wives and GF section'

Feel free to search it up...

LOl So I made this up? I guess that might make sense if 8-9 forum members here hadn't met myself and my GF at a 370z meet, that she brought her DB9 to....

It's too bad that you think because someone has money, they're 'whinning' when they are discussing a servicing issue.

It's such a tease, with my driving record her insurance company made me sign a release saying I would never drive her cars or her insurance was void...

Wow, that sounds draconian. What did you do? Get drunk and run over a pack of schoolchildren or something?
