As i stated before, i've had a wonderful experience with my dealership, their tuning company agreed to price match my Tanabe CBE with Y pipe (they are a Tanabe dealer), and i'll have my full set of Z1 Motorsports silicone hoses with Post MAF Tubes (K&N air filters should be delivered today) all installed by them except the air filters (can do myself, the only air filter i use in cars is a K&N air filter), also the GT-R button too. I'm very happy how Nissan did with the 370z, nothing else needs to be changed to make my girl perfect for me.
Agreed
I've done the dealership waiting game and here in the Texas, louisiana, Tennessee, oklahoma, New Mexico area its pointless. They keep stock at a minimum, they won't hold anything that's popular just so they can make you order. So you will be waiting a long time. The best way to deal down here is make 3 dealerships fight for your business. They are going to want that deposit for MSRP on the Z of your choice. Tell them that the other dealer is offering price X and you better make it believable otherwise they will call your bluff. And if they do. It just gets tedious from there.
Waiting it out will only lead to disappointment. Trust me. Been there, done that.

Yeah UNKNOWN_370, i remember when you got your 370z from a dealer here in Houston. I was told getting mine for Invoice will be no problem, but since i know the inventory of local dealerships i believe i can get it for less, the dealership I ordered through has had for the past 3 months 11-15, 2009-2012 370z's sitting at their dealership.

Yeah it was pretty stressful. But in the end I got the car truck delivered, sprt pkg, auto, illuminated kck plts, premium fl mats & trk mats, bkup cam, maintnce plan, gap insur for 37.9k out the door. Considering my cars MSRP was 37.1 with tireguard free before TTL with no maintenece plan and GAP insurance. I think I did pretty good. Especially here in DFW where they feel if you are buying a 7at? They don't want to discount them. They act like the 7at out here is a DCT with they way they don't haggle on the autos.. I don't know what that's about but that's how they are.
And that within itself was a pain in the azz deal BUT I had been through a lot getting my first Z. Lol. I wound up buying used because these dealers were asking way too much for a new Z. They thought it was still in its first year. Lol

Wow they are really holding firm on STICKER price in your area? That's ridiculous. I don't care what state the economy is in, I never negotiate sticker price; I negotiate off the invoice price. I can't remember my OTD price but I paid somewhere around 1600 below invoice I believe it was.

No my used car I paid 31K OTD
My new car I paid 37.3k OTD. INVOICE ON MY CAR AS EQUPPED was 35.1k. The price I paid on my car was like 34k before ttl. I think the majority of you don't count the price you pay in tax title and license plus whatever services you bought or have. The full OTD was 37.3k otd plus getting the car driven on a flatbed to me. Equalled 37.7. I think I posted 37.9. But I paid 24.9 for my wifes altima. I confuses the last number.

So in reality, on the car I paid 1100 below invoice.
