Besides, all these "comparason" threads seem to do is insight arguments. It soon degrades into childish fodder.

The Z is a sexy car for sure but if I had to do it again, I would have bought a 2011 STI first or maybe a 5.0 just on the ease of modding it.

You could buy a used Z06 for about 45k, & we are comparing the driving experiences of both cars.

We think alike. I have minor regrets of not picking up the 2011 STI sedan.

The 5.0 performance is nice, but its still a Mustang and I see more and more old ladies driving them each day.

The Z06 is a sweet car and I'd love to get one. They are just as useless as the 370Z because they're both 2 seats with a useless trunk. "Its a flying gas can with 2 chairs" as my buddy calls my Z. I got a chance to drive my buddies 2007 Z06 two weeks ago and it's so much smoother than the Z and I don't mind the interior. For me the difference between getting a used Z06 vs a new 370Z is just the matter of flipping a coin. I'd be just as happy either way.

Because I, OP, have a Z06 and am trading it for a loaded out 370Z. This thread is, as they say, relative to my interests. I told you why in the first post.

That being said....wtf is this?

Isn't the seat supposed to be 8-way power adjustable in the Touring model? What are those 2 knobs? Doesn't look "power" to me. Didn't feel like it either when I looked at one at the dealership today, either.

Power controls are on the other side of the seat, you can't see them from this angle.

I saw that, but there was no way to adjust the orientation of the bucket of the seat (tilt the SEAT part fore or aft). I assume those big knobs do so? I like a little bit more "backward" tilt as it holds me into the seat better since Nissan didn't install locking seatbelts like my Z06 has.

Also, I saw what looked like brushed aluminum around the gauges and other places---is it? Or is that "polymer"?

I was very impressed with the interior as a whole, and the sound system.

The power seats are not all power. It's kind of misleading. Only the seat back tilt and front to back adjustments are power if I remember correctly. Lumbar support and seat bottom tilt are controlled by the knobs.

The knobs move you up and down and tilt your *** up or down.

The brushed aluminum is plastic.

Are the seats "solid"? If you own or have ridden in a 'vette you know what I mean. They slide around in the corners on their tracks a bit. Annoying. Does the Z do this, and when you nail the brakes, does the pass. seat flop forward?

PS. I finally get what you all mean. The 370Z "FEELS" a lot smaller than my Z06, even though it isn't.

Over-all, the interior is very nice. I'm now just concerned with how it wears/holds up inside, if the seats get loose on their tracks, if those inserts in the seats fray, if rattles are prone to develop, that sort of thing.

Sit in the seat and drive the car.

Answering questions for self = ftw.

Haven't had any issues with the seats sliding around.

Kirkster told me that 350z's had an issue with a loose rattle under the seat when driving really fast, but it had an easy fix. Other than that, I haven't heard about any other seat issues from folks who thrash 370z's.
