Pricing is ridiculous IMHO. I'd rather have a GTR.

Do they offer a GTR spec race car?

This is not a road car, folks, it's a professional race car. It's not just a Nismo 370Z with some CF overlays and stuff taken out. It's gonna cost money.

$150k!!!!!????

You could build that exact car for probably $15-20k over the price of buying a regular Nismo. And most of that goes toward the FIA spec cage/safety equipment.

That's obvious. I merely stated that I'd rather have a car that is almost half the cost and could probably still beat this "race car".

Going from a $45k Nismo and removing all the interior and adding a better clutch/flywheel, a roll cage, and a differential/oil cooler is not worth an additional $120k over a regular Nismo.

This is a spec racer. It's not meant to destroy all supercar in a single bound. It's meant to meet a performance specification and compete.

Don't like the price? Don't buy one. Everyone just assumes they're the target demographic for this vehicle.

It is a street mod. A "race car" would be a tube frame chassis. There's nothing that I can see done to this car that you couldn't do with a 370Z that you get off the showroom floor at your local dealership...for A LOT less money.

It would be WAY cheaper to buy a regular 370Z, remove the NAV, climate control, etc. and build it exactly to these specs. That's what Nissan did with this car. Nothing special.

This is for the rich guy that decides on Monday that he wants to go race in World Challenge on Friday. There's nothing wrong with that, but all I am saying is you could build the same thing for FAR less.

Don't get bent out of shape. We know it's a race car and not meant for everyone. Anyone that wanted a race car could simply buy a Nismo and build it for much cheaper. I don't care which way you try to spin it. It simply isn't worth that kind of money and I know "worth" is a matter of opinion.

The target demographic ^^^

And I agree, Mike, you and a couple of folks could probably do this cheaper, but some of that cost is rolled into the immediate convenience. No waiting for mods. Buy, race.
