You are asking the general public to make a decision for you that you should be making yourself. Plus you should look in the turbo section and probably should of posted there too. Many others have asked the same questions.

i thought the op had a nismo and was thinking sc. it's a base 2011... so i would do the brakes and wheels first, then consider FI down the road.

I would never change out my nismo wheels. It just goes with the car so well... The brakes are sufficient enough unless he is tracking his car. Oh, and I don't think he has a nismo. His sig says base.

kenchan is right. If you upgrade to 500hp and don't give yourself better braking that's not a great idea.

Unless your car is mostly paid off and you have enough money saved for both the supercharger cost and some repair costs, I dont recommend it. Make sure you have adequate funds.

If you want to keep the car a while and can afford to drop cash on everything you need, and keep a cash reserve of at least the same amount that you put into it for repairs... then sure.

Unless everyone working on it is a good friend (and even then) you're going to need to have at least 10 grand socked away to cover parts, labor, tune, unexpected stuff that could come up, etc.

So... no. I wouldn't right now if it were me.

But, it's your car and your money, so do what feels right to you...?

I'd say having $10-15k tucked away is a likely safer bet. You need supporting mods and account for any other misc. stuff along the way. If you have the base, w/o the sports package. You should probably upgrade a few things before going FI as everyone has stated. LSD, brakes, clutch, suspension, that sort of thing. As far as being worth it, I'm pretty sure that extra bump in hp is gonna put a smile on your face.

If you want more power, buy a more powerful car. I am here to tell you though, you will get used to whatever you do. I have over 500hp and I am used to it. It feels like 300hp used to, to me. Keep that in mind before you piss away money on mods and destroy a factory warranty.

If you're ballin' outta control like Import' is, then yes, buy a car with more HP.

If I were you, I'd forget about that FI crap. Unless, you don't plan on keeping your car for very long or you are pretty handy with a wrench.

Pffft.

A mustang 5.0 will increase the power by about 80 to the tires over the 370Z.
A used 2008 'vette by a touch more.

Actually contemplating selling my monster and getting into a Z, personally.

I agree with Rone. For me cbe, y-pipe, and K&N drop in's are all i will need. I've learned from the pros that the more you mod the more trouble you can expect (my dealership has tried to get me to go FI before my girl Vanity is even shipped to the dealer for pick up). To me personally, after test driving the 370Z, it's more than enough power for me, my mods are just changing things i felt Nissan could have done better on.
