Nissan 370Z Forum

for those who drive FI'ed Z as a DD

Dont do it. Trade it in and use your extra money towards something with more power from the factory.

I don't plan on (only because I don't think I can justify the $$$) but just curious why not?

Avoid complications by DD'ing the Z on 4-5lbs of boost and drive like a normal person. When you're going to have fun? Crank up the boost controller to 11 lbs and watch out.
With proper thermostat, intercooler, power steering & oil cooler trans cooler (if applicable) and radiator. none of this shouldnt be a problem under NORMAL use. just dont do a half azz job on a turbo build.

Stock engine, daily driver. If it did break down, I'd drive wife's car to work. But drove G35x Infiniti 8 years and it missed a workday only once with very similar engine.
