Wow. As I recall, I saw a few of the '11's loaded out like you describe in my little town of 300K people. I guess for some reason Nissan decided to ship most of their US bound loaded out Z's to some backwater circle-jerk redneck military town. :roflpuke2:

No, it's more likely that Z's don't sell as well in Shreveport as they do in DFW/Houston/San Antonio.

I used to live in Covington (up until April this year), and the local dealer there rarely had more than one or two cars in stock. I recall seeing more G37 coupes than 370Z's around there.

I bought mine in Bryan/College Station and all they had were a couple 2010's. My car was bound for Houston before I snagged it. I also see about twice as many G37's as 370Z's.

To OP about shipping. The problem I ran into is that until the car is at the dealer...no one seems to be able to track the things. It gets off the boat, stored at port, loads onto a train and ships to a destination warehouse. Once there they have 5-7 days to unload it from the train, then it can sit in the warehouse for another 5-7 before it is picked up to be transported to the dealer. From the time they found out mine was on the train, it took over 3 weeks for it to get to me. I was amazed at how crappy tracking is on a $40,000+ car. I've gotten better tracking on a $2 ebay part. :icon14:

not a nissan but similiar story, we were looking at Audis for the wife and all their Nav systems were missing a chip needed for the back up cameras. So if you bought an Audi with Nav you had to take it back in a couple of months to have a chip installed for the back up camera. whenever the chips arrived from Japan.

The dealer I bought my 2009 from in May of 2010 had eight or more coupes to choose from. They must not have been selling well so they blew them out* and have never had more than two or three on the lot since. Tuesday just one, a 2011.

* roadsters were marked $7500 off sticker three months later.
