Ok I think I figured it out. The reservoir appears to have a bunch of baffled sections up top. One section is at a certain level, the others might be at different heights as well. None of the sections were filled all the way up to the top of the reservoir level, even though the neck was still pretty high up (just about two inches from the top of the fill lid). You'd think the neck being all the way filled would just fill up the entire reservoir level as well, but this wasn't the case.
I'm therefore guessing that the 1/2" shift right now was just a small rebalancing inside of the reservoir. Maybe because I drove it after I filled it up the other night too, the movement of the car moved more meth/water back and forth and down the fill neck into some other baffled areas up top. I can't find any seepage anywhere, everything looks pretty good. I left the bumper off to check again tomorrow and the day after and if everything is all good with the height, that's gotta be it... One thing I did notice was that everything that GTM did with the kit was pretty top notch. I couldn't verify it with the bumper on but all it's definitely a professional install. If taking off the bumper has done nothing but confirm this confidence in them and their work for me, that's good enough. But yeah, hoping the next two days, the fluid level still stays the same hahaha |
