Under extreme driving conditions, 260 is within the threshold.. but not for sustained periods. If for example you have an oil cooler and on the track, and are able to get it to 260, this isn't a big deal, but cruising around town at 260 all day long would cause concerns. (but then there is a rather large thread about that topic.. )
