Which new car? 370z IS an option.

Alright, I am ready for a new car. Let me give you a little history though, I need some advice.

I owned a 2005 Mustang. Fun car, good for my age at the time, but I wanted more. I then got a 2006 350z roadster. I love it. A bit faster than the Mustang. Handles a LOT better. I like how it's smaller and more nimble. I really like how the car forms around me. But... the convertible top is giving me problems and I don't want to put money into repairing it, instead I'm going to put money into a new car.

I thought I was all set on a 370z. But I'm starting to wonder if I should consider some other options. For what it's worth, I will most likely be buying used and looking for around 25kish... but no hard set numbers.

Options. 370z, Camaro SS, Hyundai Genesis.... maybe a Challenger, but I don't think I like there looks much.

Really the only ones I like the looks of a lot are the 370 and the Camaro.

Looking for some input. Really the only complaint I had about the 350z was that the interior is kind of shitty quality. I'm definitely looking for a bit better interior.

Yea, I was planning on it. But I was looking for some insight into the elements of the car that aren't easily noticed from a short test drive or just general opinions.

To me the 370Z has a much better quality interior than the 350Z. Best to visit your local dealer and have a look for yourself. I was about to buy a Camaro SS when I decided on the 370Z. The Camaro SS is a great car, don't get me wrong. I just found the 370Z was more car for the money.

Of your list the 370Z is the only 2-seater. Does that matter? Are you going for looks or the performance aspect?

The 370Z is an upgraded version of your 350Z. It should be fairly easy to decide what's right for you.

Well, I test drove all but the Challenger. Pretty obvious which one I liked best.

What I disliked about the Camaro was how cheaply built it was inside and how large it felt to drive.

What I disliked about the Hyundai was how hard it was to find a 3.8 Track with a Manual Tranny, and on driving it, I wasn't impressed with the suspension and transmission.

Just my impressions. Opinions may vary

I actually prefer the 2 seater. I don't like having backseats anymore! Looks are definitely important, as is performance but I won't be racing it or anything. I just like to 'drive' the car when I have space. If it makes a difference, I will most likely be getting teh automatic, which leans me towards the 370z as I hear the 7speed is a fantastic auto and paddle shifters are still fun.

Cuda, the 7AT in the 370 is definitely a hoot to drive. I've got a manual in mine, but I drove 2theextreme's Z in Georgia a little while ago, and it's very quick and quite fun.

Or.... here's one more idea. What if I were to look for a hardtop 350z (08 model?) that has a bit of work done to it. Someone who has spruced up the interior a bit and maybe some mods?

I have the 7AT. I've always been a manual shifting kind of person and the 370Z changed that. No, it's not a dual clutch auto but for a slushbox it's amazing. When I drive to work it's very relaxing and when I want to get on it I don't feel like the 7AT is holding me back.

It's a little hard to accept a sports car with an automatic. However, once you drive it there isn't much you're missing. If you want to track the car get the 6MT (or if you just like the mechanical connection), otherwise don't be afraid of the 7AT.

Of course, the 6MT guys will laugh at you.

^7AT is a very impressive trans. I'd never buy one, but I really don't view it as a bad option.

The 370 is a different car then the 350, lighter more power wider...and not so many of them around which is nice.

I was looking at an SS before i got the Z and didn't even need to test drive the SS to know i didn't like it, the interior combined with seating postion was enough for me to get a Z.

Camaro interior is garbage. If you didn't like the 350, the Camaro is out of the question.

Hyundai has a ton of chassis flex, and just feels loose. Not a fan.

the camaro interior is just stupid. youll love the improvements of the 370 over the 350. i say go with the z. cant complain about 1 single thing with that car.

Cuda, the interior of the Camaro I tested was literally falling apart. Cheap interior, not well built.
