http://www.sobrecoches.com/var/plain...l_lightbox.jpg In this picture, there is a grey piece of plastic trim that spans the entire dash. It's located above the vents, it continues on either side of the gauge cluster. When I opened the door at the end of the test drive, the plastic trim running from the gauges to the door completely fell off the vehicle. There, it's no secret, inspector. |

I just don't think of that reflecting a high quality interior. Then again, my friend test drove a new Z06 recently and said the headliner was already coming off in the back. Could be a problem with GM, or it could have just been a problem with those two cars. |
370Z - Sportscar
Camaro - Muscle/GT coup - heavy lacking refinement still Cuda - same as a Camaro with much less capabilty. Its a sharp looking 2 door coupe passenger car Mustang - Better but lacking refinement. No true sports independent suspension These cars couldnt be anymore different. After owning 3 different Lotus Turbo Esprits, Vette's and BMW's, Alfa's etc there is only 1 'sportscar' choice in the group. All are nice. Only 1 has a decent pedigree as a sportscar in a strict sense. Get the Z. |

I think if you have someone to help or guide you initially, you should be fine, all manaul drivers had to learn somehow... good luck!:tiphat: |
If I was in your position it would come down to the Gen Coupe (3.8) or the 370. I really like the 370's interior. It's pretty solid and not overdone. The 370 is also very hard to take your eyes off of. The 3.8 Gen Coupe fully loaded is hard to beat, and also looks awesome in my opinion. I can definitely tell you that the 370 is better and more fun than the 350. My Dad had the 7AT 370 and it was awesome to drive. The paddle shifting is a lot of fun.

Camaro SS = faster in straight line but mushy handling
370Z = faster in a turn and tighter handling The modded killerbee = about as fast in a straight line as the SS and BEAST handling. The answer is clear really. :D |
The camaro and mustang are both way better than there older brothers.
but to me they are still bigger heavier cars and not that nimble. yes they have v8's which i love and may be faster than the 370 but not enough to make a difference to the average joe. i just can't see getting a car which in my area you see just as many on the used lot as the new lot. that in it's self should say alot about these cars. imho if the back seat is not a deal breaker it's a no brainer its the 370. i would like to talk to camaro and mustang owners and see how their cars have stood up. I'm at 35,000 and not one rattle. and last but not least the 370 flat turns heads everywhere you go. i'm a Z guy for life...............well almost everyone's got the one car they would give up the 370 for and mine would be any c6 vette....... so to ramble got carried away |
It's unfortunate that this even needs to be discussed but here goes. If gas goes to say, $6 a gallon, does the Z's 20% better fuel mileage impact your decision?

Also, it's always been my point of view that gas mileage shouldn't even come up when talking about buying a performance car. If you want peformance you have to pay to play. Simple as that. Then again I'm a little old school in my thoughts about cars; like not talking on a phone or eating when driving. |
I had three lessons on how to drive a manual from a buddy in his Jetta. Then I got my Z. After about week I was able to comfortably work it. But it was a rough week. But now it is a blast to drive. Buying a manual transmission sports car has been one of the best decisions of my life!
The 370Z is pure sex! It is hot, loud, and rough! |
