Heard they increased the engine size by 1 cubic inch. Giving it a half a horsepower more. Sporty indeed!

You are one year late with that one. That happened in 2011. For 2012, Nissan is claiming another new 1st time technology to the Z. First it was VVEL and SRM. Now for 2012, Nissan has built the first All New Reverse Twin-Turbo system. nissan said since they can't be the fastest going forward. They want to build the first car that can go 0-60 in 4.4 seconds in reverse. The Z will also be the first production vehicle to be able to do 90mph, in reverse. You can read all about it in;

www.reverse-turboZ.com

How hot is that?

Rather than asking here why not just go directly to the source?

Nissan and Infiniti - The 2012 Nissan Lineup: Charting the Changes

2012 Nissan 370Z Coupe/NISMO 370Z
For 2012, the Nissan 370Z Coupe remains one of the most vibrant and dynamic sports cars available in North America. The 370Z Coupe is again available in three models, 370Z Coupe and 370Z Coupe Touring and the NISMO 370Z, which features unique performance and design attributes. There are no major specification or equipment changes for the 2012 model year.

Key features of the 2012 Nissan 370Z Coupe and NISMO 370Z include:
• The 370Z and 370Z Touring are each available with a standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL) and choice of 6-speed manual transmission with an available SynchroRev Match® synchronized downshift rev matching system or a 7-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters
• The limited production NISMO 370Z features 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque, exclusive H-configured exhaust system design, a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with SynchroRev Match®, and NISMO-tuned suspension

• The NISMO 370Z also includes functional and fully integrated aerodynamic body pieces, including an extended front nose, fully integrated chin spoiler, side sills, a unique rear and functional rear spoiler
• A dramatic interior utilizing an innovative driver-centric three-layer design which groups items by how a driver sees information, operates the controls and is held in place – so drivers feel completely connected and engaged whenever and wherever they drive
• Available technology features include a Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System with 7-inch VGA touch-sensitive display, USB connectivity and iPod? connection, XM NavTraffic® with Real-Time Traffic Information and XM NavWeather™ (XM® subscription required, sold separately), Bluetooth® Streaming Audio, Nissan Intelligent Key® and a Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System

The 2012 370Z Coupe and NISMO 370Z go on sale in fall 2011.

2012 Nissan 370Z Roadster

• Standard 332-horsepower 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine with Variable Valve Event and Lift Control (VVEL)

• Unique Z? Roadster equipment includes available high back net seats, added structural body reinforcements (compared to the 370Z Coupe) and the stylish convertible top
• The 370Z Roadster’s standard power automatic latching top was designed with an emphasis on providing a sleek silhouette with the top up or down, offering easy single-action open-close operation, and providing an enjoyable top-down experience with reduced wind turbulence and all-climate driver/passenger comfort
• Standard Nissan Intelligent Key® with Push Button Ignition
• Available heating and cooling ventilated net seats, Bluetooth? Hands-free Phone System, satellite radio and advanced Nissan Navigation System

The 2012 370Z Roadster is offered in two models: 370Z Roadster and 370Z Touring Roadster. It goes on sale in fall 2011.

How about, we stop all this wild speculation, and wait until it is announced one way or the other.
