Did I get the right Z?
I just purchased a brand new 2011 370z from the dealer. However before the car was shipped, the sales guy told me how it had the 5 spoke rims that look kinda like the RAYS rims with the forks at the end and not just the standard 5 straight spokes that 350's have. He acted as if this "in between" style looked kinda like this;
Are these stock rims? Because mine do not look like that. He also said the car was delivered on a truck and had 12 miles on it. But when I fired it up it had 250 miles on it. My sales receipt also says 19 miles. What the hell is going on here? Did they mix up my Z with somebody elses or something? |

Those are the standard rims on the Nismo version of the 370z in your picture. I would definitely complain abou the miles also.

Those are the stock wheels for Nismo Z's. May want to check VIN on the car and the one thats on your paperwork if you did get a Nismo but do not have those wheels on it.

You either have sport pkg wheels or the nismo aftermarket or nissan jdm aftermarket wheels that are available through the dealership, that look like this.

just noticed you drive a black 7at and the nismo does not come in auto. So the picture you posted does not show the wheels that come on your car. They are similar and same manufacturer. I would question the miles though.

Do you see anything being done about the excess mileage? Is there even any point to pursuing this? |

your car was probably used for test drives or was driven from another dealer or used by the staff at the dealership.
my car still had plastic wrapping when i got mine (i test drive the exact car i buy) and had like 5miles. |

I just google map'd directions from my dealership to the dealership of origin and it is exactly 225 miles. If you factor in them filling the tank with gas before handing me the keys, and driving it around the lot 250 miles sounds about right I guess. Just wondering if it matters because of waht they put on the bill of sale.

yeah, if it was a dealer trade, chances are, they drove it from that other dealership.... and it sounds like the sales guy probably knew what he was talking about, but since he figured that you didn't know the difference between the models/packages. he took advantage.

From 19mi to 250mi that's a lot of miles being added to a car that's technically yours, hopefully you paid used price vs new price, I would. The pic is of a Nismo, you probably ordered the touring or base trim.

Yeah I already forked over the money. The Monroney sticker said $34,155. That included illuminated kick plates, splash guards, and carpeted floor/trunk mats. I ended up talking them down to $32,718 with a free spoiler/tint job thrown in.
Good deal? |
