what do their "parents" do is probably the better question, lol.

Here we go again lmao

I was 23 when I bought my 370.

No offense to anyone.... but I think the dislike or seeming hatred to the younger crowd owning Z's is still comical.
Years ago when I purchased my Z32, I went on a cruise (at age 15) with a group of Ga Z Car Club guys. Most of which were doctors, businessmen, etc (35+ yrs olds). Since I was 15, mom had to tag along due to driving laws. At one point in the cruise we stopped for a break and I got out of the car to snap pictures of the caravan. A group of the drivers in the group approached my mom asking, "So you are letting junior drive your car for the weekend?". My mom smuggly replied..."no, this is junior's car". After that not a SINGLE one of the Ga Z Car members would talk to me until they figured out I knew what I was doing and was not some punk kid. Just because a younger driver has a Z, does not mean that they will not take care of and respect the car as much as an older individual. Regardless of how they came to afford the car. My parents were nice enough to agree to match whatever I saved up (100%) to help me purchase my first car. I was lucky to find a rare Z32 for a decent price. |

Hell I introduced a friend of mine who now probably makes more money than I do and he started at the company when he was 19 (I was 21-22 when I started 26 now). |
You are still a punk. You drive an automatic, lol. puss. Also, we don't care if you take care of it or not. The fact that you don't earn your own money and get things handed to you is not respected by many people. Also I don't respect anyone that has an automatic Z. I make fun of them. You are a douche. : )

With your attitude and thinking, you DO NOT deserve a Z, not at all. :shakes head: |
A tip of the hat to those in the 60+ group. I love seeing people of all ages enjoying these cars.
I was barely 17 when I bought my 350 and 21 when I bought my 370z. Now I'm 22. |

Maybe your parents can pay for you to take some driving lessons? LOL I kid. Good luck young man, and yea, I think it's a terrible car to learn to drive with. It's a sports car, not a toy.

I'm 17 and have a 370z. No accidents, no tickets, everything perfect. I also agree with Dustin about other drivers giving us a hard time, which is a bit absurd but understandable to certain extents.

Bought my new '09 Z at age 61, as a "pre-retirement gift" to myself. Still enjoying the car and will own her as long as I continue to be able to enjoy a sports car of this kind.

Well, we pay Allstate 182.00 a month for coverage on 3 cars which has our home morgage. Those cars are 2000 prelude, 2010 Maxima & 2011 370Z. I also own a 1966 SS396 Chevelle that I take to 2-3 car shows a year. It is insured sperately under Hagerty.
I am 54 and have enjoyed all cars my entire life. I guess I have have the best of both worlds. I can drive a new 370Z or cruiz my classic 66 big block hanging out with others enjoying classics on the summer weekends. As far has who gets financial help etc. I only care about what I have done in my life finacially. I took it upon myself to work and pay for everything on my own. It was a personal choice and decision that gave me personal satisfaction. cheers! :tiphat: |
My parents bought me my first Z (240Z) when I was 21, I bought several more between then and 1982 after I got a job ($18,000/year) and that was when interest rates were between 12% and 17% - I'd sell the previous Z just as the balloon payment would come due. That house of cards came to a screeching halt when we bought a house and had our first kid - I sold the 280ZX Turbo for a Honda Civic. I drove GMC pickups for the next several years because by the time I could afford a third car, I was paying for the cars I bought for my children just like my parents did. So I bought my most recent Z when I was 60.
