Another old guy here; I'm 53.

Does it count that I was 19 when I bought my first new car, a 1977 B-210? What a rockin car - four speed, with the optional tach and AM-FM radio. No a/c, roll down windows, and 70 hp. Oh yea, and I remember bitching to my dad that gas had jumped to $0.45 a gallon!

I hope you "young" guys appreciate what you have. In dark days of the late-70's/early-80's, cars really sucked.

Jeez, I am old!

I was 25 when I bought my Z. I just turned 26 in july. I'm a medic currently serving somewhere in afghanistan and I cannot wait to drive my car again lol.

Too bad we won't be able to say the same think when we're 53. The cars will probably be fueled by cooking oil and Li batteries, and top out at 90mph......downhill, with a tailwind.

im only curious because my insurance raised my premium because my car is a person in their 30's car, not a person in their 20's car... thanks!

I am 22 btw.

Say what? LOL. I wonder if I get a discount when I turn 65? Nah, seriously man, the discount normally happens at age 25.

I bought it when I was 25 -- software engineer. This car payment is in addition to my other one, so I have two now. It was my gift to myself for starting a new job with a nice salary increase.

Insurance at progressive was $270/month, so I switched to Liberty Mutual where I pay ~$200/month, but that does include 2 cars -- the Z and the Accord, full coverage, $500 deductibles -- 1 accident, no tickets.

I was 19 when I got my first Z and knew right then and there that it wouldn't be my last Z, fast forward a few years down the road, here I am. I currently own 2 PW Nissan and would soon be adding a PW Murano to the collection...GOD willing of course. I'm currently at $250/month for insurance for my 3 cars :tiphat:

Yeah, even though I'm on the commercial side now, I still need a good technical understanding, so I try and stay on top of things:tup:

It's decent career to get into. You have to be more committed to learning and understanding about cars. There's far more to it when you have to work on them day in and out and repair w/e is wrong. The pays gr8, supports myself and my fiancee and as a extra bonus I get to work on and drive some really cool cars. I still prefer my Z though lol. Go figure.

Started working for a chemical refinery company in the fall 2005 and was quickly moved up the ladder and making great money and had my own house and decided to get a toy :) Then I purchased the 370Z while still employed by them but now I started a new job with a Pipeline company...
