Every time you clean your car, it gets dirty again... Same thing with dings, you can pay 200 to have 3 of them popped out, it will happen again... It's just comes along with using your car in public lots a lot... in general, people suck bro. If the paint isn't scratched at least it's an easy fix.

Im scared of door dings too. Its been 16 months and I havent gotten any.......yet (knock on wood). I park far away tho, preferably the parking spot (very right edge) where people cant park to your right.

I think some people may not even notice that they've dinged a door (or choose to ignore). The one and only door ding on my Frontier occurred in the parking lot at church.

How hard do you need to swing the door open to ding someones door? I've never done it, so I dont know... When I open my door normally, I'm not flinging it open

You know I've often wondered this. If you fling your door open with a car next to you, you're being inconsiderate to their and your car even before you hit. Take the time to know there is a car next to you.

PEOPLE DONT CARE!!!! and sometimes its an accident. I've had the door pulled open rapidly by the wind. No damage to the car next to me but I was lucky. And, it is possible to drive a car for its entire life and not incur any damage. You just have to be patient and willing to walk farther to your destination than everyone else. I just returned an 08 FX35 with 60k miles on it with no dings.

It depends on the car, but it is surprisingly easy to dent some doors. My Saab would get a ding if it was just barely touched due to very thin sheet metal while a car such as my mom's Lexus LS430 needs to be truly hit hard to ding.

I have none on the Z though, knock on wood!

Some doors will swing wider than others and especially the passenger doesn't care when they open the door.

I seen it a thousand times, especially Walmart, Sam's, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. That is why I drive my DD to those places. My blood boils when I see people with no respect for other peoples property.
