Z Hybrid
 

During the football game last night between the Packers and the Saints, Nissan had a commercial on. I was in the middle of talking to a friend when it caught my eye a Z like car with a redesigned front bumper and rear bumper, and thinner chassis.

After focusing my attention, I noticed it was a commercial promoting the electric/hybrid Nissan vehicles. They showed the Z looking car again. I tried finding the video on YouTube today with no luck.

I have seen mock sketches and rumors floating around these forums, but I have never seen anything as concrete as a commercial. Granted, I was not paying attention so it could have been a commercial regarding concepts:bowrofl:

Anyone else catch this?

I dont know if this is what you are talking about but I saw this on youtube its a combination of the nissan leaf and nismo. Its called a Nissan Leaf Nismo RC (racing competition)

is this the commercial? if so i think that is the esflow. Whether that will be the next gen Z i dont know.

Yeah that was the Nissan Esflow concept. Search the forum for 2013 Z and you will find it all over the place :shakes head:

I think they had a commercial about it before too. I remember seeing it on TV.

Well they got the door handles right. Wish they had that style door handle on our cars....

all i took from that was expensive. Look at all the cf on that thing, maybe it is just overlay so its not a true cf panel.

Those pictures look interesting

Keeping in mind, concept cars often never look the same in production. Also, I hope the batteries don't mess with the sports side of things. Like a sports button and eco button or something.

eco mode = 1 motor running, sport = 2 motors running. You have the added bonus that when you are running in eco mode and your car dies, you have the exact amount of juice needed to get back home by switching to the other motor! :D

Production model should be different.

But note here - "Zero Emissions" on the rear right bumper. This is an all-electric car (the same badge used on the wife's Leaf).

Last rumor was the Z was going to a hybrid with the well-received M35h (Infiniti) derivative power-train.

Looks like things are still "evolving" in the design heads of Nissan...

Nothing screams "SPORTS CAR" like a car with a motor that sounds like an IONIC breeze air purifier when you drive down the street. "No thanks." Save the hybrids and electrics for sedans and SUV's. Sports cars need engine rumble. I want to feel my gears changing. I love all the unrefined crap of gas engines in sports cars:driving:. Period.
