DIY fix for 370z oil temp problem.

1st: Find some electical tape (preferably black).
2nd: Place a small strip of tape on the oil temp gauge.
3rd: Just drive and injoy, if your not tracking the car you won't have any oil temp problems.

Since early 09 when i got the Z i have not even hit 220 much less the 280+ needed for limp mode.

You are supposed to hit 220 in regular driving, the motor is water cooled and the typical water temp is 210F.

Not necessarily saying they do.

The fact that there are literally hundreds of articles saying the exact same thing means that it's probably taken from the form articles Nissan pre-writes for the magazines so they dont actually have to write anything.

Most of the 5.0 owners I've talked to don't suggest that the Stang handles better, but that it's not very far behind the Z. Having seen a Stang thrashed on the Dragon in person, I can attest that it handles quite well during spirited driving.

If that is the actual level of journalism present in these magazines, they certainly don't deseve your patronage.

It's kinda sad how that level has dipped over the years. I'm annoyed right now with how often the exact same comparos and reviews are showing up between C&D and MotorTrend.

Because internet blogging and news aggregation sites are putting an absolute hurting on print media, this is what we're stuck with.

All reviews are done based on pre-writing by the manufacturer. That's why they all use pretty much the same words. The editors just move them around a bit, and add in things they think are weak spots.

I've driven the new Mustang and it's a decent car. If I were to choose a domestic, it would be the Camaro as I love the looks vs. the Mustang. However, the new Mustang isn't a pig IMO.
