Just picked up my new 2011 Touring SOLID RED last nigth was out of the dealer by 10:00 PM so ill get some better Pics today after work.
First Impresion: Well i traded my 2008 Honda s2000 and OMG!!!!! I have seen the ligth there is power everywhere LOL. Im very exited and im in the process of breaking her in so I've only messed around, no WOT yet we shall see.:driving: Only thing Im concerned about is the imfamous oil consumption i will stay on top of it but what is the current presentage of members here that have seen this issue? |
Welcome! This board is an incredible source of information, and you will be blown away by the knowledge base of the regulars here.
I'm only on week 2 of ownership, so I can't answer your question, but I'm loving my car too. The difference between my new Z and my 2008 G37S coupe are night and day. It's nice to finally be back in a real sports car for the first time in almost 27 years since I sold my last RX-7. Babies tend to cramp your style. |
I'm new at this, how do i post pics?

Welcome

Welcome. I've only had my Z for a month. Can't be much help to you on the oil issues. I also am trying to pick up as much info as possible from this forum.
|
Congrats on the new purchase! I wouldn't worry about oil consumption issues. Just give it a check every once in awhile. But make sure you're not on even the slightest incline or else it will read as empty. And look in the manual as to how to properly read our dipstick. Oil should NOT be reading all the way to the top.

welcome to the forums! and congratz on the red.

i almost got the S2000CR... salesman was too stupid to know i wasn't kidding when i said if he cant lower his price another 1500 at that exact moment in time, i wont buy it.
a day later he calls up and says 'ken, i can do the 1500, come in it's all ready to go for you.' lol. i told him my brand spakin' new 370Z that i got for invoice has already taken up the spot. :D he said no way so i sent him a pict. :p |
Good feeling going outside.. or into the garage and seeing a 370 sitting there, isnt it? :) congrats. the feeling never wears off :hello:

Enjoy your new ride and post up pics when you get a chance. |
I also have a 2011 and as far as I know there really are not any oil consumtion issues with the 2011 model. In fact the TSB for this doesn't include the 2011 models. I've not had any issues with mine so far. I've owned my Touring/Sport since December and this car never ceases to amaze me! Got to love the looks of this thing also. It looks bad *** in the rear, front or sides.
|
congrats on the purchase OP! as to your question about oil consumption, i have a 2011 also and did a check of the oil after i reached the end of the break in period and it read right exactly where it needed to be right between "H" and "L", so as far as my 2011 is concerned i have not noticed any oil consumption issues. I have 2500 miles on her now though so i'm going to be checking the oil again tomorrow and i'll let you know if it's still where it should be :)

Oil Temp & Braking.... However, if you are not going to track the car is no worry. The oil consumption will be track by the dealer if your car develop that problen, not all Zs have that issue. Just go to FAQs and you will find the answer to a lot of your questions. :tiphat: |

I just bought a 2011 370z touring/sports packaged coupe in red. Had the car for about 3 weeks now. Only few questions i have are... How do I clean the suede on the seats and on the door? Which leather cleaner works the best for black seats? Other then that I'm very pleased with my new car, being a former 2003 g35 owner , it was a hard choice but in the end I think I did right by getting this car.

What is Alcantara & How to Clean It? - Professional Detailing Business Forums I'm sure any leather cleaner from a reputable brand will clean basic black seats just fine.my personal recommendation would be mothers leather cleaner and conditioner products. Mothers® Reflections® Advanced Leather Care Congrats on your ride and good luck. :) |
Thank you Unknown 370 For the info. I will try it.
